I guess I'm getting great deals on range balls. Regular price where I practice is 7.50 for 102 balls. I have a club card, though. After 6pm the range balls are 2 for 1. So 204 balls for 7.50.

Before it used to be $0 for as many as I wanted since my friend worked up in the driving range. He's going back to school and can't do enough hours so he was replaced.
It costs 10 euro for 100 balls, 7 for 50, 4 for 25. We have automated tees (which are a nice touch) and a large grass part too.

$5 a bucket at a decent range that goes over 300 yards with flags and markers. Another course charges $8 thats just down the road for about the same amount. It's a no brainer for me

$8 for all I can hit----off grass---sand bunkers and large practice greens for short game practice. New balls each year. A great deal.

In China , where i go is USD117 for 3,000 balls pay in advance and must complete within a year.

Or 7 bucks for 100 balls if you don't buy the package.

In Malaysia is like 3.5 bucks for 100 balls.

I purchase a range pass for $80 at a local course. It is good for 25 buckets with 60 balls a bucket. I believe that is between 5 and 6 cents a ball. Otherwise it is $5/bucket.

In my area, it's about 8$ for a small bucket (75 balls), and 10$ for a large bucket (100 balls).

    • I've had this one since 2021.  Amazon.com No complaints.  I had to reglue the little Velcro tabs onto the yellow foam guide thingies. But that's not a big deal. The Velcro came off almost immediately and I put them back on using super-glue and they've been fine ever since. I've hit a lot of balls off this in my garage and I have no complaints.
    • I've been thinking about buying a hitting mat for home indoors use. I currently only got a small patch of some mat I bought years ago and stand on a wooden platform. It'd be nice having a mat to stand on and hit from. After some searching, I see Fiberbuilt often being praised. Not sure if I can get hold of it easily here, and buying internationally can get expensive for a mat that's already quite pricey (~$800). The Wittek Quattro is also usually favorably mentioned, and at half the price (~$400) of the Fiberbuilt. Anyone have experince with this mat? Any other suggestions?
    • It just occurred to me that the last time I was serious about golf, my woods were made of….wood! Also interestingly (to me anyway) as I shopped for “woods”, mostly on eBay, I found that all the clubs in really nice cosmetic/aesthetic shape (good finish, nice club face, good grip) were woman’s clubs. Seems they either take really good care of them or don’t use them much.    And lastly, for now anyway, I went to a range today that has Top Tracer monitors at all the stations - another “new” development that may have been around for quite a while, but this was a first for me. I found it useful although I’m sure I only scratched the surface of its capabilities.
    • Agreed. For me, the feel was introduced to get the arms moving down from the top. It wasn't necessarily a "get it in front of the hip" explanation as the correct position but more for an exaggerated feel to get rid of the earlier issue.
