I really don't have a start or finish. I guess I start playing a lot around march till late october. Although I still play at least 1 day a week in the winter and to be honest I like playing in the winter as long as the weather allows it. Think about it less people generally the course is wide open. Keep in mind I live in Maryland winter are not too brutal here.

In North Texas, you can't play every day of the year, but there are certainly days every month when it is good enough to play, even if you are limited to just weekend play.

South Texas Gulf Coast here so I get to play year round. It is harder to play in the summer than it is in the winter around here.

I played a couple times last year in december, one day it was really cold, was the only one out there. But realisticially could probably play at least from march to october here in southern illinois, if its at least 50, its warm enough and being too hot in summer doesnt really bother me. So basically the only months I dont play very much are november, december, january, and february, taking those months day by day. If its nice enough I'll go during those months but i dont expect to get more than one day a week nice enough to go and theres really only one course around here that ill go to during those months, the rest are closed and dont want you out there.

The last several years my group plays March-January and only skip February because of extreme cold and/or snow (although I got to play this last Feb. on the last weekend). We will play as long as course is open and the temperature is above freezing. I have played a few times below freezing, but most courses around here are not even open then.

Late March to Mid-November. I'm going to try to head down to Cape Cod once or twice during January or February if it isn't a snowy winter since some courses are open then.

I like playing March-mid June and then September and October. Due to the cool summer, I've played more July rounds than ever before.

Pretty much April-September for me. There are plenty times when you could play October-March, but I usually don't. I hate going out and taking 9 holes just to get into it, then not play again for another month.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I think that I miss playing maybe 1-2 months a year, December and Jan. but only part of them. I practice year round,(heated driving range) laid off in the winter, and go to Florida in Jan so I play there late Jan until April when the frozen tundra of Indiana starts to thaw out.
