Can I get a ruling?

The ball looked to stop before he fell and lost his club. He never addressed the ball and made a stroke at it. Couldn't he replace the ball where it stopped before all that mess happened? God that's terrible lol EDIT: Did some research, 1 stroke penalty.

What are the penalties? Is it two for hitting yourself with the ball? And then two for hitting a moving ball (it looked like it had come to rest)? Is there a penalty for hitting the ball with a thrown club?

It's actually just a 1 stroke penalty. He didn't take "strokes" at the ball so they don't count for separate "strokes". When he knocked the ball out of place that was it. It was out of place and the rule states there is a 1 stroke penalty for doing that. So he would have to put the ball back after that

"If you accidentally move a ball in play with a practice swing, it's a one-stroke penalty. You must replace the ball to its original position and play it correctly. Failing to replay the ball from its original position results in a total penalty of two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play."

That's quality footage, hilarious stuff.

Enduro's explanation sounds reasonable. When the ball hit him, it was not in play or where it should be. He accidentally hit the ball with his club, from that point on, it was not in play. He gets a one-stroke penalty and must replace the ball.

Hale Irwin's whiff at the start of the video was far more costly. He finished one stroke behind Tom Watson in the 1983 British Open because of that.

Basically, Hale struck straight down on the ball as he was walking up to tap in, and it only moved about half an inch.

The new tech for golf but used tech for Mizuno since it is found in their baseball side of the business, is Nanoalloy. Nanoalloy is a microscopic polymer layer put on the face of their titanium driver. What this layer does is change the elasticity of the driver face and increases ball speed over a larger area of the clubface. Adding a bit more elasticity with this layer, they are conserving the golf balls energy from the impact.  Due to USGA rules, this technology falls under their coating regulations. Which add a correction factor to the ball speed testing done for conforming golf clubs. This rule was introduced when Taylormade went to their carbon clubface. Which I didn't know existed.  I am sure that center strikes are at the USGA limits like all other drivers. This has my interest. I am always, "window shopping", for new golf equipment 😉
