Congrats Thomas. I avoided drinking on the course this season, but the 19th hole was a different story.

Just had a Wallaby Darned earlier tonight at Outback Steakhouse.

First drink I've had in several months. I don't like most alcoholic drinks (the taste), and I'm confident enough to order a "girly drink" if I'm in the right mood.

Mmmmmmmmmm.

I ran out of The Lagavulin so I tried some J&B; from the cabinet. Tastes like shit, honestly.

Most of the blends are really only useful for scotch 'n' soda or the like IMO.

I feel like a knuckle dragger for admitting my penchant for Bud Light Golden Wheat. Had three last night before dinner.

The really did make a great brew with this one.

The last couple of times my wife joined me for a drink at home she had Crown and diet coke.

When we go out she may have a daquiri or margarita and I'll have a Killians, Sapporo or Sam Adams depending on where we dine.

I have taken your lead, and am drinking Vodka club sodas with juice of fresh lime. The Spanish market on my street sells fresh limes 6/$1. So I'm squeezing about half a lime into each cocktail and they taste delicious.

Lucky you!

Fresh citrus is the most important secret to good mixed drinks. More important than the quality of the liquor in many cases, IMO. Actually, I think I might have rambled something about this earlier in this thread or in some other drinking thread, but the first time I had a sour made with fresh lemon juice instead of sour mix was like opening a door to a new world of awesome. But tonight it's prob going to be scotch or nothing, haven't made up my mind.

You bastard. You bastard. YOU BASTARD.

Here I am, thinking about work I should try to get done tonight (yeah it's Friday, but I had to stay home Weds and Thurs to take care of a sick 3-year-old so I don't really get a weekend), but I'll just pop in and check the Sandtrap first. Then I see this thread is updated. How is a man supposed to read about someone else enjoying a Friday night drink and not have one of his own??

You bastard. Thank you!

    • In hockey you’re generally not looking down at the puck for very long when you have full possession of it. You know where it is because you’re controlling it with your stick. Interesting. I have the exact opposite problem. Heads up putting helps my speed tremendously but inside of 10’ I find it hard to hit my line.

    • Day 92- Short, slow swings with short practice club.
    • Day 65: 3/1/24 Putting and chipping indoors during an all-day rain.
    • Day 488, March 1, 2024 Went downtown and worked for two hours. Starting to add some speed to the downswing move. Got the Quad out for the last little bit… Swing speeds were 93 MPH when I was going nearly full speed (6I), path ranged from +2 to +5.5. AoA was occasionally -5°, but sometimes +1.5°… because I've been doing so much work with my arms I just have to spend a little time on my legwork and collarbones staying "in" the shot a little. I could deliver -4 to -5° pretty consistently when I thought about it a little. Smash was 1.3 on the "bad" ones to 1.4 on the good ones. Launch was a bit high, but that tracked along with the AoA of course. That stuff I'm not worried about. Again, it's just remembering to use my lower body correctly. Very pleased with today's results. I spent much of the time at 83 MPH or so.
