Would you believe our ladies day closet to the pin?
No I didn't think so. It is actually the America's Cup, I am also a sailor.
But I really do wonder about everyone's opinion on golf trophys. The Claret Cup is cool, that blue porcelain one is cool, I don't care for the glass obelisks but crystal bowls are neat. Isn't there one that is matched swords?

I deserved that, Hockey is fair if I am going to put a sailing one up. It seems to me that trophy making has become a lost art and most good trophies are old trophies.

(Trophy wives are inversely proportional to the statement above, with the caveat that great sums of money are the ultimate trophy.)

I had one made for a family reunion golf tourney...called it the BLARNEY CUP, the printing under the cup title was written in Gaelic, which read...HORSES ASH TOURNAMENT. The trophy was a STINKY (cigar) ashtray w/the typical HS looking golfer affixed inside the ashtray and mounted on a nice shaped piece of wood. Thats the best looking trophy in my opinion.

Notable mention goes to the Lombardi Trophy, it's elegant without being ostentatious like a lot of trophies are.

Oh and the America's Cup would look better if it wasn't sitting in a country that doesn't have a bloody coastline!

Generally - the Claret Jug, imho.
Personally - the mixed greensomes trophy my wife and I won this year (which is an imitation of the Claret Jug, by a remarkable coincidence!)

I would have to agree that the Stanley Cup is far and away my favorite trophy. I felt as if I were standing in a holy temple blessed by God's very own hand when I visited the cup in Toronto at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Sure enough it came to Detroit to see me later that spring.

The women's penis/dildo trophy is pretty cool too... nothing like having a crystal/glass sex toy on the mantle.
