Three balls to consider:
* Slazenger RDS Tour @ $19.99 a doz.
* TopFlite Gamer @ $19.99 a doz.
* TopFlite D2 Feel @ $15.99 for fifteen (slightly less distance; otherwise super!)

NOTE: RDS Tour and Gamer on sale for $15 a dozen - here and there

I like the Wilson Fifty more so than the Zip. With the Fifty I get better distance and it feels better around the green. Just my two cents.

Niether of the first two are good choices if you want a higher spinning ball.

Nike ONE Vapor and NXT Tour will check but rarely spin back. E6 wont spin at all. E5 would be a very good choice, as well as Top Flite Gamers - 3 piece urethane ball for 20bucks for 15...solid deal

Yes! I took advantage of that deal too. I got the Tour D, because I wanted a premium ball that was a little harder being I played in seemingly nothing but soft damp conditions this past year.

I love playing Nike Power Distance Soft or High. They are normally $28.99 but I just bought them at the PGA Tour Superstore for 8.88 for dozen. Loaded up with them :).
Any of the Power Distance balls are good, but you need to choose the one that fits you.

Thanks.

IMPOSSIBLE to find a better ball than the TaylorMade TP Black/Red for under $30 (they are selling 24 for $55 right now). Hell, I like them better than ProVs so in my opinion it's impossible to find a better ball for any price. Plus you can get them with a custom # for this price which is a nice touch if you're a little superstitious :)

Top-Flite Gamer would be my choice. Its a 3-piece ball with a

The Gamer cover is NOT urethane... it IS ionomer.

They also shred WAY too easy, but I would agree they do feel and perform about as close to a $40 ball as anything out there. Best bargin ball IMHO... Maxfli C3 Red... AKA the old Taylormade TP Red 2007 ball. can be had for under $15 at Dick's. D2 Feel's make great winter balls.

the previous gen top-tier 40+ balls are all selling for around $30, new, now. you could capitalize on that for now.

Other than that, I would reccomend the Bridgestone E Series, NXT Tours, or Top Flite Gamers.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
