I'm looking for a ball for me. My swing is about 100 mph nothing fast, i like my ball to check up on the green. I don't like it to bounce and roll off the green. So guys help me out. And i don't won't to loose to much distance of the tee.

I really like the B330RX, in the air. I don't swing overly fast, but I don't swing, "made for slow swing-speed" RX ball status either. That being said, I crush that thing with the driver. It performs quite well into and around the greens as well. Just really wish it was better for putting.

I don't like the pro v, I do like the Bridgestone. I came across a ball that I like better: NIKE POWER DISTANCE. Try them you will love em. They cost less and play better IMHO.

B330 RX. Its designed for people with slower swingspeeds. You probably dont have a fast enough swingspeed to compress a Pro V1 properly.

Dumb myth I had hoped we'd dispelled with earlier this year.

dont know about this... i swing between 98-102 mph with the driver and i can bomb prov1's a long way.

i prefer the bridgestones over the pro v1's though. the prov1's spin way too much off my wedges. i prefer a two-bounce over backing it up, i'm more consistent that way... thats just me though...

i prefer the prov1x over the pro v1 because I get a tad more distance and the pro v1 spins too much on some shots. i'm able to spin the ball a lot and it doesn't get trashed after a shot with my wedges. between those two i'd play with the b330rx because it's designed for people who have a swingspeed just like yours. it's a urethane ball so it will still spin quite a bit. i'd say that's the best option out of the two.

I prefer the Bridgestone ball. I play the E6, but have tried the 330Rx and like it as well. To me the Pro V1 does not feel as soft as the Bridgestone 330Rx and I do not get any extra distance with my swing&speed; (~97 MH w/ Driver). At the risk of stating the obvious, you could test both balls by buying a sleeve of each and seeing which one you like best. I also agree with the previous post re: the Nike "Power Distance Soft" ball. I like it a lot and very low price (2 doz. for ~$20 in Dallas area); Makes me think they are going to disconinue or probably just coming out with 2010 version (which hopefully will not be a de-improvement). Sometimes I think the manufacturers should slow down the product revisions (r u listening Mr. Taylormade?), but I suppose they gotta keep us spending money trying to improve our games (EZer than practicing). Good luck with your quest to find your perfect ball.

Pro V1x for me. My SS is only 95 mph, but the 330 RX just feels like a cotton ball.... and flies like one too. I get much better performance from the Titleist.

In the spring I'll be changing to the TM Penta TP, but until then (if I get to play at all this winter) I'll be playing my Pro V1x.

To the OP. 330-RX for me (see signature!). I like the V1 but I just find the 330-RX is flat out better all round and unlike ben (above), I love it for putting.

I didn't care for the 330RX. If it were me I'd hit the ProV1x or the NXT Tour. I seem to get more spin out of the Pro V and I'd rather just have it check on the green, reason I usually play the NXT Tour. Personal preference.

Everyone loves a sleeper pick so I'll throw one out: Wilson FG Tour. 3 piece urethane.

Long, soft, sticks and it's cheaper than either the ProV or the RX.

A little tougher to find in stores though.

I love the spin I get with Pro V's but I spend $45, i hit one wedge shot and the grooves rip up the ball.

I have played the 330RX my last 3 rounds and I have to say I have really enjoyed them.
I did the Bridgestone ball fitting few weeks ago and was fitted to an e7
My measurements per bridgestone are...
Swing Speed: 114.8 mph
Ball Speed: 154.6 mph
Launch Angle: 12.0 degree
Back Spin: 2,970 rpm
Distance Gained: 13.5 yards

Not sure how accurate those are ,but it did give me the chance to play a 330 and I can say I'll probably convert over to them once my
pinnacle's are gone, with that, both the 330rx and the pinnacle gold soft(Precision), to me feel the same, so that may be an option for you as well.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
