Just for fun... we'll have a little betting. Since we have no currency, we'll bet reputation points.

Name the tournament at which Tiger Woods returns to golf. Specify how many reputation points you're willing to bet. Place one bet only.

When he returns we'll divide up all reputation points bet (excluding those of the winners) between the winners weighted by how much they bet. Losers will lose the reputation points they bet.

Note that it'd be dumb to bet more than a few. I recommend one to three points. And yes, you can bet zero, but c'mon, be a man.

Deadline is January 1, 2010.

I have a feeling that he'll return to play Arnold's Invitational in March. Arnie loves Tiger. It would be a fitting return and he'll receive the blessing from "the King".

I'll put 2 points on that he returns for the former Buick Invitational - I think it's now Century Club Invitational? - at Torrey Pines. I really can't imagine him missing it two years in a row.

BTW, I'm betting ten on Bay Hill.

I'm thinking the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship in the middle of Feb. I'll bet 3 points.

I think Bay Hill is the obvious choice...2 points.....close to home...Arnie's tourney (btw, Arnie like the ladies too...)

Wish I could come up with an original choice, but this one just makes sense....I considered the Dubai tourney to get back in the spotlight without the thrash of America media, but seems a bit too early (early Feb)....

2 points. I say Bay Hill. Close to home and great course to dial game back in.

I always hate going with the majority, but I'll go 2 on BAY HILL. He's got to get competitive before Augusta.

I'll bet two reps on the Barclays Scottish Open, 8-11 July 2010.

(But I think it might not be till the Dubai Desert Classic 2011)

Re-emerging first in the US might be too much of a circus - maybe?

I'll bet two reps on the Barclays Scottish Open, 8-11 July 2010.

That's a good point...but not good enough to make me sway from my predictable Bay Hill prediction. For those of you who may want to buck the trend, I'd suggest the

Hassan II Trophy in Morocco in mid-March as a longshot comeback tournament. It's an old big-money event hosted by the royal family that is an official European Tour tournament for the first time in 2010. As far as "out of the way with just enough prestige to be plausible, and with organizers that will bend over to accomodate him" events go, it's not entirely far-fetched.

In my UnderArmour Links stand bag...
