I was playing a course in the bay area last week and was having an okay round until I hit the par 5 10th. I drove over the 200 yard fairway bunkers (instead of going left of the bunkers) right into a gaggle of geese. I didnt hit any of them and they initially scattered but all came back together. By the time I got to where I thought my ball landed I had no clue where to find it. The geese werent very helpful as they didnt really want to move out of the way. Ended up declaring a lost ball and hitting another drive. At the end of the day, I still ended up shooting an 84. Has anyone else lost their ball in a gaggle of geese?

I one time hit my ball into a patch of geese, and my playing partner, some random guy i had never met, started swinging him club at them, and actually took one of the geese's head clean off. Needless to say, they all cleared away, and so did I. Nearly lost my lunch too. It gross, they keep walking after their head is gone.

Yes! It hit a drive into the middle of the fairway with a whole gaggle of geese. When we got there, it was gone. Not sure if a goose grabbed it and ran or played my ball!!

That's a federal crime. Canada Geese are a protected, migratory bird.

I've seen one hit with a ball off of a 3 wood. We were 250 ish out and this guy hits a low screamer and it hit a goose in the neck. It wobbled around, fell, got up, fell, got in the water, floated in circles and died...

What a psycho. I would have gotten away from the guy too.

I've accidentally hit into them several times but never lost a ball. I've had more issues with them being on a green and leaving large turds to putt over.

I was playing with a friend a few weeks back and he tee'd off the 10th, a gull was just coming in to land and his ball just glanced off the birds heads and carried on down the fairway, the dropped like a stone and died and my friend carried on and made par, so he got a birdie and a par on the same hole.

No, but I was once unable to find my small white sphere in a crowd of crows.

Haven't lost one in a geese huddle but one of my friends hit his PW sky high and the geese were right behind the green. The ball sailed over the green and nailed one of them in the back. Luckily for him it saved him a shot. If it wouldn't have hit the goose it would've bounced into the water behind the green.

Ive hit a ball in to a gaggle. They are MEAN here, they got in to their fighting stance with their necks low, wings spread and hissing at me. It scared the !@#$ out of me! So I held my club like a bat in case I had to defend myself. Luckily I just hit my ball and hustled away.

There is a par 3 over water at a course I play where the geese hang out. Lots of turd to contend with.

Same hole I saw a giant turtle sunning himself in a bunker.

I have lost balls right down the middle plenty of times. Either Mallards, Geese, Crows and sometimes open. I think i might be losing my vision or something. I have hit balls and everyone at the box said "Nice Ball" "Great shot" and just plain old "DAMN WHAT A SHOT" Then walked up to where it landed and poof it wasnt there. Nothings worse then hitting an amazing shot right down the heart and you cant find the ball and have to take a stroke. I call em Ghost balls. You see em go and poof they disappear.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.
