I can usually get through 18 holes with no more than a couple of tees. If the ground is unusually firm, I may break more than that, but I usually use them until the rim gets too badly chipped up. When I'm driving my best I too hit slightly down on the ball, but I still don't break tees very often.

I tee it 3" off the ground and blast my driver a mile in the air. I can make a tee last for several rounds. I only ever break a tee when I tee something low and hit down on it.

You're full of shit. In 2010 Sergio was 34th in total driving behind even Billy Mayfair. Not really what I would call a great driver of the ball either, but keep guessing your original post might make sense if you pick the right golfer.
