A major and a FEC playoff event last year didn't do it for you?

I was thinking recently that Ryuji Imada hadn't won in a while, and then he goes and is in good position after 18. Fun fact: if Kenny Perry wins, he'll be the first one to defend his title at this event since Johnny Miller.

do you get money from ping for being obnoxious or something?

Too funny...but obnoxious..a little strong don't you think?

I happen to really like PING equipment and therefore I like it when someone plays well on the Tour using the same equipment I play...like Mark Wilson plays the PING i15 irons with the Z-Z65 shafts (see my sig). I really don't have a favorite player as I don't know any of them personally so I figure I just root for the equipment ...

Is PING paying people for being obnoxious now? Who do I call?

i should have denoted with a smiley or something that i was ribbing you. sorry. but seriously, with all that enthusiasm for ping, they ought to be supplying you with fresh gloves at least.

Me too, except with Mizuno and Adams Pros.

I'm worried that with Lee Westwood missing some short putts recently that he'll switch from the Redwood Anser. I've been really enjoying watching him put with the same putter I (we) use.

No hard feelings as my passion for things can be somewhat...well lets just say I have an "A" type personailty...

Like I said I really don't have a favorite player (have some I don't like) so I pull for people playing the same equipment (basically) that I play and then on Sunday I will pick some one to pull for down the stretch regardless of equipment they play just because... I really don't think any club is that much better then any other as it comes down to personal choice but I just happen to like PING . I have played many different clubs over the years and just recently found my way back to PING and plan to stay here....Mark Wilson seems to be playing well right now and I noticed that Ted Purdy has moved up the leader board...very cool as they both swing i 15 irons...

I don't know if Camilo Villegas will win or not....but I enjoy watching him swing. He back swing is slow & you can see his body coiling before he rips through on his swing.

I wanted to say before the tournament that this felt like a Mark Wilson kind of week, but relented. I should have said that.

I also wanted to say that I liked Ryan Moore's chances this week, but thought I needed to give him a break, because I tend to pick him a lot. I should have said that.

Does Red Bull require Camilo to drink that darn drink everytime he does an interview? Kind of rude looking to me. I know......he gets paid a lot to do it.

wouldn't be suprised if it didn't actually have the red bull in the bottle, though hes probably required to use the bottle.

    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
