I am sick of hearing John Daly play 5 chords (poorly) over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Please stop it with those horrible commercials. They're past the point of making me interested in watching his show and now are turning me off.

Start being the GOLF channel again. So what if Peter Kessler was fired; bring back Golf Talk. Bring back Golf Academy Live. Show more Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. Show more real golf, not unreal golf (Big Break). I understand informercials make money, but have them related to golf. Except for the Hammer, you can drop that one.

In other words, go back to your original idea. Have a channel about GOLF.

Well, I hate to break this to you, but it is, at its greatest breadth, just three chords. D, G, D, A... &c.; Sometimes, it's just D, G, D, G, D, G, &c.; And I've worked with a lot of crappy guitar players in my day, but he nearly takes the cake (and if I say nearly, you can't imagine what constituted worse!)

There's definitely a broad range of suck in the world of guitar playing.

My last drummer told me that I was going to play lead guitar and rhythm guitar, while the other guy (Who, of course, owned the PA) would play ihavea guitar.

Except for the Hammer, you can drop that one.

The Hammer commercials are worth watching for pure laughs. It's kind of like watching a train wreck. You want to look away but you can't. Plus it takes me back to the 80's.

Don't worry, The Haney Project is starting up again. We can look forward to seeing the same episodes 15 times a day now.

That and they have very little content in the shows. My wife and I watched it last night. They move at snails pace.

The infomercials keep the bills paid. But I agree, make it "the Golf Channel Clasic" during the non-golf-action days.

Advertisers would certainly pay for a spot during a rerun of the 1953 US Open at Oakmont - it was Ben Hogan winning his fourth US Open!

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt! Hell, if it was just three chords he should have played "Takin' Care of Business"

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
