First Round of the Year!

Shot a 92 at Grassmere CC in Enfield, CT. First time out with my new driver, was 11/14 on the fairways. Only problem was my short game was sporadic. On the holes I did miss the fairways, I was unable to get up and down and usually resulted in doubles or triples.

Overall a great day with some pretty good ball striking and drives!

Oh hell yeah lol Struck the ball pretty well today. Had a couple shots that were bad, but for the most part solid contact and accurate.

I wish I could've gotten out today. It was up around 45°...only problem is their's still a couple of inches of snow on the ground.

I got my first round in on saturday and had a similar experience as the OP struck the ball well but short game was hell. I just need the time to get the feel back in my short game.

Same thing here. Out enjoying the nice weather, but can't play golf yet.

How could the course have been? Didnt CT get snow as NY did? Even if it melted, it wasnt a mudfest out there? Or does CT have no snow.

I haven't gotten a chance to get out yet. I'm thinking very early April is about right for around here. By then the snow will be gone and it hopefully won't be as muddy out.
