Ben, I think this may be the first post of yours that I 100% disagree with. I adore Judy Rankin. I think she is one of the few broadcasters who still understands that she is not the focus and that broadcasters are there to assist the viewer, and not create the story. She gives the information the viewer needs, and gets of the way. And I think her voice is rather soothing. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I like Johnny Miller. . . or at least I used to until yesterday morning.

While watching the Ryder Cup (Saturday) morning foursomes on NBC, I was appalled to hear Miller make a smart a** remark about Kenny Perry while he was lining up his putt. To paraphrase, Miller rudely stated that Perry had no idea what he was doing as Perry was plumb bobbing, obviously intently focused on the break of his putt.

It was incredibly condescending and completely unprofessional! Who the hell does Miller think he is?

God. He thinks he's the golf god.

And I don't really even like Perry . . . but I cracked up when, after Miller had just said "he has no idea what he's doing with that plumb bob", Perry drained that long putt right on cue.

It would appear so. Like him (Perry) or not, Miller has to show some respect towards the guy. Kenny played his heart out all year, skipping a major if I recall just to focus on making the Ryder Cup squad. That's a feel good story in itself.

      OK - I think we should narrow down a weekend, and start there.  We're going to try to do this in June. I've created a Doodle poll where everyone can vote for the options that work for them.  Please include your username so I can track/post results. Get started today! (I only put in the Saturday dates, but assume the outing would include Friday - Sunday). Once we select a date that works for the most people, I'll start to line up courses and schedule and go from there.
