I keep my camera in my golf bag, and realized that its been a while since I've taken any new videos, so I busted it out today.

Not really working on much mainly trying to stay sharp. If anything I was focused on staying with the shot. making sure contact was solid.

Thanks for posting some recent swings Ben...looks great. I always enjoy reading about your tournament play, and appreciate your insight on the golf swing. Is your swing pretty much thought-free at this point, or are there certain fundamentals you like to re-visit?

Yeah, you're right. At this point [when I'm playing my best] all I'm thinking about is hitting my ball to the target. Granted I do work with my swing plane during my pre-shot routing. Making sure my body and mind are working together to pull off the shot I want to hit. I've come to the realization that I'm totally satisfied with my swing and ability to hit the ball. When I do feel like my swing is getting away from me, I'll break out the old Ben Hogan's Five Fundamentals and read the section that relates to the problem I'm experiencing.

That's a pretty killer swing. What are the distances on your irons?

3i - 215

4i - 205 5i - 195 6i - 185 7i - 170 8i - 155 9i - 145 PW - 125 54* - 115 58* - 95 Oddly enough since I stopped working out with weights and started focusing on flexibilty through yoga, I have gained some yardage in my two wedges. I am close to adding a few yards to my 9 and PW too. Just today I nuked a 9i 160 on the fly and a PW 130. Granted I was a little downwind on both shots. Ideally I'd like to be around 130 with the PW and 150 with the 9i. I'm also hoping yoga can fix the alignment in my back at address. You'll notice that little hunch around my shoulder blades on the rear view.

Ben I'm going to ask a couple more questions as long as you're willing to humor me .

1) What is your main feeling through impact (i.e. underhand toss, sidearm throw, left arm pulling, etc.)?
2) I read another post where you mentioned trying to feel your right elbow close to your torso. Any other keys that helped improve your swing along the way?
3) Head still. Important to you?

Thanks again.

Ben I'm going to ask a couple more questions as long as you're willing to humor me

1) Solid left wrist, ala Hogan's Five Lessons of course. I also like the term "Down and through". I use that theory with my students, and for myself. When I was working on improving compressing the ball (a year and a half ago), those two keys were what I worked hard on.

2) "Transition", in regards to letting myself finish my backswing before starting my downswing. I'm a firm believe in swinging good rather than swinging hard to hit the ball far. And I believe proper transition is a huge key to that puzzle. "Left Hip", again, my man Hogan gave me this one. Start the downswing with an untwisting of the left hip not a pull down with the arms. 3) Important to me, no. But that's only because I keep my head relatively still to begin with. That's something I never really had to work on with my swing. But if I did have sloppy head movement, I'd have wanted to fix it. No sweat, happy to answer your questions.

Those are some crazy shoelaces! 1 question: do you have any feeling/tips to keep your left arm straight at impact?

I get a lot of comments on them. I'm into red right now.

Like RIduffer's question, when I first decided to work on improving my compression, I liked to feel like my left arm, left wrist, shaft of club are one solid force powering through the bottom of the shot.

I know this is an old thread, but man I love that sound! Crisp, ball first contact is what I am trying to improve at the moment, along with ball compression. Sorry for bringing up an old thread.
