Have heard of that one, Ray. Old Robert Muir Graves design, if memory serves?

Doc.

+1. It is indeed a Muir Graves desgn. We are hosting this year's Scratch Players Championship the week before the US Am at Chambers Bay. http://www.scratchplayers.org/spc/index.shtml . Should be interesting to see how these guys handle the course.

The muni that I regularly play at has a slope rating that is too low to post. It's a good confidence booster to play there. Big letdowns happen when I goto harder courses.

One of the holes has been changed from a short par 4 to a par 5, so the length, slope and par value will be updated this season.

6-hole course, 58.7/129

18-hole course, 73.3/149

The 18-hole course is one of the most beautiful we have in the country, and it's a challenge with 6540 yards.

for 18 holes thats 11580 yards or have i misread something

    • Are there going to be episodes outside teaching and lessons or is it the heart of the podcast?  Me personally, as a self-tough player, don't find this segments appealing to hear. I do love the idea of short episodes straight to the point.
    • Not sure I'm picturing it correctly. Was the path parallel to or perpendicular to the line of play? How were the bushes orientated?
    • I do agree with this, its pretty much impossible to make a definitive ruling based only on a typed description.  In addition to the factors listed, it would also depend on the intended line of play, whether it was more perpendicular to the path (interference more likely), or more parallel (less likely).  I based my initial response on the OPs claim that there was indeed interference.  But based on his description, my best guess is that his relief area would have been into the bushes.
    • Good info - thanks. Didn’t know that about club length. My irons are 1.5 over and I assumed my woods should be too.
    • $50…. Maybe go to a local Play it Again Sports store and see what you can pick up.  Check online at 2nd Swing.  You can choose drivers and sort by price.  I saw a 2013 Callaway x hot driver prices range on there from $48 to $169 depending on condition. As far as your height in relation to club length.  Your irons should be longer than standard but your driver and 3 wood should not be.  Just buying off the rack should be fine
