I've always felt that the bag should have some representation of what clubs you use, however, the more I think about it, the more I realize that frankly, the type of bag you are carrying may play a big factor in your game, and that one should buy the bag that best suits them (weight, size, features, etc)..

Obviously using a Sun Mountain or Ogio bag is a different story, but my question to all of you, is do you think your bag should match some of your clubs, if your bag is associated directly with a club manufacturer?

I guess it's more of a question of preference..

This. Shouldn't matter what you've got in the bag. I carry a

bag yet I no longer carry a single club (at least not at the moment).

No, the bag should be something that's comfortable and holds your equipment. Unless it's really uncomfortable or extremely heavy, I don't think it makes any difference. If you don't carry, then it's almost entirely irrelevant, beyond style and having the capacity to carry what you need.

In the bag:
FT-iQ 10° driver, FT 21° neutral 3H
T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW

Last season I was looking for a cart bag with certain features for my Sun Mountain V2 and picked a Titleist bag. First and foremost I was concerned how it fits on the V2 cart and having the seperate putter tube and 14 slots for the clubs so from there it was a matter of preference since all the bags that fit the criteria were priced about the same. So I went with the Titleist bag only because it matched my clubs. But I wouldn't have picked that up if there was any perfomance feature I wasn't happy about.

Titleist bag, not a single titleist club. My clubs don't even match my clubs, let alone my bag. My headcovers do match my bag though.

The headcover for my PING G10 was immediately replaced by a no-name aftermarket black and silver one. The PING version had no sock, but the colour - omigosh! Some kind of sickly copper that clashed with everything else in the bag.

I know what you mean with the G10...I cringe at my bag everytime I see it. The headcover sits a bit odd on the club too...doesn't quite extend down and the shiny coppery color...ack

When shopping bag, I'm looking for one which is comfortable, durable, lightweight and with good features. Don't have a need to match it with anything.

after discovering Ogio bags, I don't think I'll ever go back to the major golf brand bags again. that said, I have an orange theme between my bad, G10 irons, Frogger brush, etc.

pretty sad actually.

I have a SunMountain bag, so I guess I'm not an ideal poster.

One rather silly thing I see on occasion: Someone will have a Ping bag, and Ping head covers on their Great Whale driver and FWs. A closer look shows they have Pine Tree XYZ irons and hybrids, and a Kroydon putter.

Nothing against industrial component club sets, but it's a bit pretentious when the bag and head covers cost more than the sticks you carry in it.

I agree that the bag doesnt have to match your clubs but I usually try to stick with the bag that matches my iron set.

Thus, callaway bag, callaway irons. The rest is all messed. Luckily, my bag is comfortable to carry.

I've got a custom Ping Hoofer coming and don't have a single ping club. I'm working on that, but at the moment, zip.

Only if I am getting paid to carry that bag. Until then, I will continue to use my different branded clubs and nice yet inexpensive great divider bag on my gay old man push cart while gambling for dollars.
