If you go there, or at the top of the window by your username, you should see an option to connect with your Facebook account. Give it a try. Let me know what you think.

it's not a bad idea... but it's only as good as the privacy setting on the user's facebook account.

For someone like me, who only uses facebook for actual friends and family, it has the potential to encourage unsolicited friend requests. That's the reason I wouldn't use it.

Is it possible to customize facebook's privacy settings so that it would allow viewers clicking on the link in thesandtrap to see a bit more expanded profile?

To be honest, I don't really know. It's a fairly new addition to vBulletin.

I think they plan to add features to it in the future. Right now all they really say is:

OK, so Facebook integration is better now. You can click buttons to "Publish to Facebook" here, on the blog, etc. You can also "Like" threads and blog posts and so on. Check it out - it works pretty well based on my limited testing.

I liked a post and it didn't show up on my wall. So no, it doesn't seem to. Worst case, try it and see. You can always remove it (but I still don't think it'll show up).

hrmm tried it and abandonded it. Looked like it was trying to overwrite the info here (handicap etc) with lines from my info page from FB. Handicap was showing Quotes and Interest, several of the other lines looked mismatched.

I know we can hide the bar at the bottom, but is there any way to disable it from the user end? Its really slowing down my browser.

It didn't replace any of my information. It does show that stuff, but if you link the accounts it doesn't seem to actually over-write anything here.

That's not Facebook. That's the meebo bar and there's another thread about that.
