Hey whats up, I have been playing golf for about three weeks. I have only played on Par 3 9 hole courses. Today I stepped in to the box at hole #1 (Not first hole of the day) at Pismo Beach Golf Course, with my 4Hybrid and Nike MOJO ball. I hit it long and stright i saw it bounce on little hill and bounce a few times on the green and then i lost it. I figured it rolled off the back of the green. I grabed my back and started making my way down the fairway. I walked to the back of the green and looked for my ball and could not find it. Two guys waiting to tee off on hole #2 told me to look in the hole. and sure enough I see MOJO right across the golf ball. I was in complete shock.
I asked the guys if they were messing with me and kept asking if they did that. They told me they play golf in college and respect the game to much to mess with someones ball. They told me to just accept that i just hit a Hole in One!! They said they would let the club house know they witnessed it. After I finished my round, I went to the club house and they had me fill something out for the newspaper. He asked me the names of the witnesses but i dident know them. He still accepted the Hole in One because they had gone in and confirmed it, but I dont know how im going to register it now.

No matter what I'm very happy. So I thought I would share with you guys and see if anyone els wanted to share there story with us.

+1

I only ever saw one ace. Some middle-aged guy that had a swing that looked like he was throwing the hammer in the olympic games. He hit this worm-burner, that only slowed down when hit the pin and disappeared in the hole. I'm just glad there was no hole in one prize waiting to reward his effort. I've come within inches a couple of times, but never holed out. I keep telling myself it's wating for one of those fancy golf days where there's a merc or a lexus waiting to be won...

Congrats on your ace, you must be fairly buzzing after that!

(Grrrrrr, beginners luck hahaha)

the hill is to the left of the pin, soit went left and bounced to the hole and the flag was still in it. i did not see it go in the hole just saw it disappear.

I dont really want to call it beginners luck, because i have only been playing 3 weeks but i can hit the green 40% of the time from the tee. I have come close a few times. i dont have a real good putt game but I have birdie once. I guess you can call it whatever but i know this is not my last one.

I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you! Some golfers have played the game for decades and never aced.

By the way, you've only been playing 3 weeks, but you don't consider it beginner's luck? Anyway, I'm just bitter and twisted because I didn't ace yet

Nice shootin'! 3 weeks & an ace already. That's fantastic.

I got my first ace last summer. 152yd seven iron. Back tee, back flag. Never saw it go in. Thought i'd cleared the green.

Best & worst part was my father in law was with me. So i had a witness.good thing. But in 35 years of playing, & playing very well, he's never had one. So i feel a little bad for him.

My sister got a hole in one at a par 3 course. Never really golfed before besides the range just messing around and she was at a function for work. Originally she was just walking the course with everyone and one of the guys asked if she wanted to hit one so she did. I think she said she played a few holes, but on the only official time out on a course she ever had she got an ace. There were like 20-30 hardcore golfers in the company that were there and every single one of them were pissed. Hell I almost hung up on her when she called me and told me. I've hit the pin twice, once in a good way on the way down and once in a bad way where it stopped the shot from sailing over, and I've put a few within a foot or two, but never dropped one.

Way to go man. I'm jealous, I had one hit the pin about a month ago but I'm still waiting for it to go in.

Congrats!

To those who say it's ALWAYS the beginners... that's not true. I've been playing for just over 18 years and I got my first ace at the end of April. It was exactly how I'd WANT it to happen. It was a nice hole with an unobstructed view of the green... nice little wedge with the perfect trajectory... played it directly at the hole... it hit the green, bounced to the left a little and rolled back to the right and disappeared.

I saw the entire thing which is the only way I'd ever WANT to make a first hole-in-one.

Again, to the OP - congrats! Don't expect it to happen again though... because, as others have said... many golfers go their entire lives without ever even WITNESSING one, let along making one.

I got my first ace ever about 3 weeks ago. 115 yd par 3 with a gap wedge. The ball took one hop and just spun sideways into the hole like there was a magnet in it. Sweet!

well you always here about it happening to beginners because beginners are always on those all par 3 courses. So they have 18 opportunities to get one instead of like 3-4 on a normal 18 course. That and most beginners cant get the ball up so the ball goes running across the ground at the pin.

Congratulations.

When I get my first ace, I want it to be at a tournament with lots of witnesses, handshakes, and a kiss from the cart girl.

Congrats man! Feels good doesn't it? My first and only hole in one I was playing with one other guy on a foggy morning. 2nd hole, 196 yards to the middle, pin up front, I hit a 6 iron that just felt absolutely perfect and headed straight at the flag. We couldn't see it go in cause the fog was thick, but while walking up to the green and I didnt see my ball and I knew the only place it could be was the hole. Checked the hole first and sure enough my Titleist 7 was staring back at me. Hope I can actually see my next one go in so I can celebrate in proper fashion.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
