I was hoping someone would post that cover. I'd love to hear all about Tiger having "man boobs" like Phil right about now...can we get a similar Mickelson cover shot?

I love how everyone is saying Tiger looks like a bodybuilder and is big because he´s been working out for 10+ years now.

The funny thing is that your average joe with an average build can get into the same shape that tiger is within 3 months of working out with a good diet and workout plan.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

where are all these "core exercises" when it comes to getting rid of his love handles and man-boobs?

Thank you. I got such a good laugh out of them talking about his "core" work this past weekend. He definitely has a lot of chub on him and he is nowhere near being in "wonderful" shape. Let's stop being afraid to call a spade, a spade. It doesn't mean he isn't a great golfer or one of the longest/most impressive hitters on tour.

And hopefully we can stop confusing "works extremely hard [at golf]" with working extremely hard in the gym/weight room. And yes, some lineman in the NFL are fat too. Brandon

True. Tiger isn't really all

that impressive. It's just a relative thing: compared to most golfers when he started out on Tour, he was in great shape. But now look at a lot of these young guys, especially the europeans...they're in great shape. Some guys are just skinny, but others are lean and have pretty good muscular builds on them. Brandon

That photoshoot is about 2 years old if not more.It was held back until recently.Tiger does have man boobs now, and a bit of a gut on him.Not quite Phil's standard, but he's getting there..

A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

Any bets on whether these other guys can hit 8 reps of 250+lbs on the bench? The man is freakishly strong, give him his due. Before the knee surgery he was especially insane; he's slowed down a bit since, but he still has freakish strength compared to almost every other golfer you can find on the PGA tour.

First comes the steroids, then comes the rage, then come the injuries, then the F'd up marriage, then the moobs. And that brings up to speed.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

LMFAO at allegations of steroid usage. That's just unspeakably funny. First comes the insanely powerful, lower-body driven swing with more torque than a Mustang, then comes the injuries. And moobs? Just stop.

I was talking about your avatar. Seriously, he was better when he didn't have to wear pleated pants (like Ernie) to contain his "insanely powerful lower body", as you so fabulously put it.

i'm really lost as to whether you're kidding or not. My avatar is pretty clearly not a man. And my quote was describing his swing as "insanely powerful, lower body driven"...the comma is there for a reason.

Let's just end this now and say Camilo Villegas pisses on both of them.

definitely a beast...love his game. Plus he played for UF, which gives him even more cred in my book :)

Camilo is a beast

Phil is not overweight this season however he has serious milk t1ts and he has sense he was young. Dont say its because of his age because when he was 30 he had bigger milk t1ts.

Tiger is still more fit on his worse day than phil on his best.

Dustin Johnson is pretty jacked as well

He is definitely one of the long hitters---ranked 6th for the season, with Bubba, Dustin, and JB. It will be interesting to see how he uses the driver at Pebble Beach. He has a natural tendency to be really aggressive, and finds it difficult to "dial back". That makes for real excitement, as you never know what to expect.

where are all these "core exercises" when it comes to getting rid of his love handles and man-boobs? He looks like such a fat slob in those 2-sizes-too-small shirts he wears...even my 60 year old mother in law refers to him as "gay boy". Not saying I endorse that nickname...just saying

On TV, at times, Phil doesn't look very fit. If you see him in person though, he looks much slimmer.

Wow. How did this thread go from Phil being a long hitter to people posting inappropriate pics of Camilo? Don't ever, ever use the word "beast" or "monster" to describe a PGA Tour professional. Not Tiger, not anybody. They are in great shape (well, most of them), but are a long way from your average DIII college football strong safety.

I know a few DII college football strong safeties, and a lot of those guys do not look like they can come close to putting up what Tiger does (or did at his peak) in the weight room. IDK what kind of DIII college football team you're watching, but in my book that's just a step above junior college - which is to say, not very impressive.

I´d say 90% of the guys on tour are not even athletes.

Not even Tiger. Tiger always got picked last when him and his buddies played basketball because he couldn´t even do a lay up.

Most of them are simply average joes that got dropped off at the golf course by their rich parents when they were 3 years old and worked together with a good instructor and practiced 10+ hours a day.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.
