I basically agree with everything the OP said, but I would call them "perks" more than "advantages". They have earned them after all.

I'd say 5, 7, and 9 to a small degree have improved my game by 4-5 strokes this year.

- I picked up a range finder. Thought I'd never need it, but having 127 yards to the pin versus 120(ish) can be the difference between a birdie putt and an up and down for par. I used it in a scramble and we were pin hunting all day - over 18 holes it saved us a few strokes. - A lost ball that's only a few feet in the rough is costly - 2 strokes is 2 strokes. - My long game is much more consistent after taking lessons - having a tune-up every few weeks would be nice. I have no control of the course conditions, so I don't focus on them - the stuff that's out of my control is . . . meh. My equipment fits me pretty well too, so not too concerned about that.
5. Perfect yardages. Unless you own a GPS or laser rangefinder you're at the mercy of the on course markings. During a round this week we noticed that one of our "on course" markers was off by 12 YARDS!

The only advantage they have that I would like to have too, is a pin sheet so I would know here the pins are today. That would make a huge difference in my club selection and target on approach. Maybe worth three strokes. One course I play has red (front), white (middle), and blue (back) flags, but the greenstaff sometimes has an unusual idea of what those locations mean.

Serious question-don't you walk off the distance from your ball to the nearest marker? I agree it's annoying when the yardage marker isn't perfectly accurate, but I find they are usually within a yard or three to the center of the green.

If my course had yardage markers, I would be happy to do so. Some of the holes have markers, but only a few. I'm relatively new to the course, having just moved to the area, and have only played it a handful of times, but I can still only find yardage markers for few of the holes.

I will like to know how much they pay for the... I will go low, 500 balls they hit at the range everyday. If I want to hit that amount of balls it will cost me around $24 usd per day, $168 usd per week, which is out of my range. I only hit in between 40 to 100 balls a day.

Greetings!

I would imagine they get it free. And it's not just range balls either, it's whatever kind of golf ball yo want. For instance, Phil was Callaways, Tiger has Nike's, Stricker has ProV1's, etc....

Not just the money, but they also have the time to hit 500 balls per day.

Uh! That's nice!

Good point, but if someone tells you that you can go to the range and hit all the balls you want, I bet that all of us will make time to go and spend some time in there haha!

i pay 35 a month for discounted playing price, discounted gear/clothing price, and unlimited range balls at my course.

Now that's a bargain! With a price like that I will spend 5 to 6 hours at the range!

Cheers!

I agree with the course conditions somewhat. Its hard to make your best swing when the tee box isnt even level.
