Pretty Sure Titleist has a very long list as well...

I thought this might be close so I checked it out. Scotty Camerons are currently in use by 18 PGA Tour players; Pings are being used by 19.

My Implements of Destruction (carried in a Hoofer Lite bag):

DRIVER: Big Bertha Diablo 10 degree draw, Aldila regular flex
FAIRWAY WOODS: G2 14 degree 3 wood & 17 degree 5 wood
IRONS: S59 3-PWWEDGES: M/B 54, 58, & 60 degree PUTTER: I Series Anser 4 (or G5i Anser, Anser 2F, or original...

There are more than 18 scotty users on the PGA tour. I am 100000% sure on that one. :P

What I Play:
Wilson Mini Stand Bag | PING G10, 10.5°, Proforce V2 HL S | PING G5, 15°, 18°, Aldila NV 75 S | PING G5, 19°, Aldila VS Proto By You 80 S
Mizuno MX200 4-PW S | Ping Tour W 50/12 X | Ping Tour W 58/TS X | A selection of putters, all 35.5 inches.

I went by sponsored players off the manufacturer's websites and I might be wrong, but I don't believe Scotty Camerons are as popular as you seem to think.

You were talking about usage, not sponsorship. Sure, 18 pros sponsered sounds about right, but we are talking usage here, and way way way more than 18 on the pga tour use scottys.

Proof please? Your saying that you're "100000% sure" doesn't make you right.

Die hard scotty fans back me up here?! it's just too obvious! If i had the time, i could find out 30+ users just like that.

The Scotty web is only "staffers", there are many more in play.

Slammin Sam you want proof.....do you see Tiger on the staff list??? Last time I checked he was using a Scotty, minus the debacle at the open.

We left out Bettinardi too.

I suggest you check out Tiger's official website...he uses a Nike. And even if he did, just how would that prove that more PGA Tour players use Camerons?

Tiger uses a Scotty... he won 13 majors with it and only switched to the Nike for two rounds during the Open.... He promptly switched back to the Scotty.

Most Used Putter:

Not even close. Odyssey has higher numbers, and has had for a decade.

But it's all moot anyway. If there was a putter that was demonstrably "better" everyone would use it.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Not to mention the putter you and I pick up of the rack is not even close to the thing the touring guys are using.

Taylormade has more players than any other company, and it's no contest. Titleist is up there, but Taylormade is pretty much on every other hat on the PGA tour. It almost seems like your sponsored by Taylormade, or someone else anymore.

Actually Titleist leads in putters and wedges. And golf balls, of course.

http://www.titleist.com/players/equipment_counts.asp That's a Titleist page, but they're Darrell Survey numbers and it'd be illegal - and their competitors would call them on it - if they lied or made things up. Putters - 1st Wedges - 1st Irons - 1st Hybrids - ~3rd Fairways - ~2nd or 3rd Drivers - 2nd behind TM Ball - 1st Lots of misinformation out there, folks. There's a reason TaylorMade mostly focuses on the driver and lists "Ping, Cobra, Adams, Callaway, Mizuno, etc. combined" - because if they added Titleist they couldn't say it. It'd be more like "more than even Titleist and Mizuno drivers combined." Far less impressive.

Shanks,

Just because they have a TM hat or bag, does not mean they are playing TM equipment. They are pretty loose about the club requiments, they may only be playing the woods (or metals). I believe (dont quote me), but I believe TM only requires you to carry 2 of their clubs in order to be a staff pro.

    • Day 133: did a stack session.
    • You can pre-order an R50 here for pretty rapid shipping (these are back-ordered almost everywhere): https://www.playbetter.com/products/garmin-approach-r50-golf-launch-monitor-simulator?ghref=2301%3A700794. This is an affiliate purchase, and I'm willing to kick back lifetime ad-free Supporter membership here on TST or a 90-minute GEARS session for the cost of a regular member lesson (about 1/3 the cost). Also, I'll record a video myself soon when I get an R50.
    • Day 58 - 2024-11-27 Some quick 90-yard shots on a particular hole… before a lesson and testing out multiple Foresight Launch Monitors on GSPro.
    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
