Does anyone have golf sandal? If so, what do you think of them?

i don't have them however i think they look pretty goofy... almost as goofy as i look when i shank one into the trees so who am i to judge based on looks...

i'd say no purely for the following reasons:
1. bunkers... sand in your socks or under your feet for 3 1/2-4 hrs... irritating to say the least.
2. some safety concern...
3. don't think there would be as much support as a well designed closed toe shoe...

I could see their reasoning though. Some people play golf where it's really hot, and who wants to wear socks and shoes when it's hot?

Thankfully, I have never seen anyone wear them. I am sure that if the tourists wore them they would be sporting black socks like they do on the beach. You can call me a hater when it comes to golf sandals.

Well even in sandals your feet will still get sweaty so imagine having sweaty feet and hitting out of the sand. Now you're left with sweaty feet with sand all over them doubt that's comfortable. I guess you could be the guy wiping dirt off of his feet constantly. One thing to remember as always if you like them that's all that matters... good luck

Golf sandals are pretty sweet. I wear mine with dark socks...

They are hideous. Wearing golf sandals says a lot of bad things about the wearer, like "World of Warcraft rocks" and "my mom helps me out with the rent/mortgage/car payment".

If only they'd come out with a pair of thong sandals I'd be hooked! I prefer less traction... and dirty feet..... and blisters...... and ridicule.....

I will admit to having a pair of FJ sandals. I bought them for $25 in the off season, and I have to say I really like them. I have never worn them to actually play golf, but I do use them to practice in. I live a few minutes from my club, and I find these easy to toss on when I go over to putt or play a few practice holes. I think you would be shocked at how much support they offer and they are very comfortable. I do use them for bunker practice and never really found the sand an issue, but the most I have walked is 3 or 4 holes in them and I used to walking with sandy sandals as I live on the beach. One day I will play 9 holes in them, but for now they are still my practice shoes.

I wear FJ sandals and have no problems with them or anything y'all say about 'em. I don't sweat what people say or think about me or what I wear and those of you that do....well, you have other issues.

Play golf and get on with it!

Sandals or flip flops are nice to throw on after a round, for the drive home, that's for sure!!

At the driving range I've worn sandals and will again. For rounds it limits where you can/will walk. I'm not trudging into the brush with sandals - no way!

A friend of mine wears them and I've had a few discussions with him about them. They give plenty of support are very comfortable and don't really cause any of the problems the posters on here (WHO HAVE NEVER TRIED THEM OR HAD A FRIEND USE THEM) are hypothesizing about. Yes, at times you have to take a towel off your bag and dry your feet. Way too much snooty crap in golf. If the sandals feel good, wear them. It's pretty hot here in NC and I've considered buying some but I had to buy regular shoes this spring and didn't want to spend double.

They go great with visors and as a bonus the cart boy might take a liking to you.

    • First one. If it’s not some bs “mistake” like I should have made that 12’ putt for birdie and actually correctable then it’s a learning experience and it means I’m good enough to win. I don’t play the club championships at my county courses because the best I can hope for is the second option and I kind of don’t see the point in that.
