Wow ... can Phil possibly mess up yet another chance to take the No. 1 spot over? I think he'll eventually get it but he'll basically have backup up into the slot. I'm very disappointed in what I've seen from Phil the past couple weeks.

**edit** Phil gave back 4 addit'l strokes in the half hour after I sent this email!

It's a sad day when the world ranked #1 and #2 holders both are at 7 over par.

Anyone see Furyk's approach shot with a wedge over the water that hit and came all the way back into the lake? On the replay it looked like it hit the plastic part of the inside of the cup, but maybe possibly the base of the flag. He got absolutely screwed.

I saw that too. I doubt I would've acted as calmly. I wonder if he knows how to cuss out loud w/o moving his lips.

That was bad luck for Furyk for sure. Phil still doesnt seem to want to be number 1. We might need a thread of "What if Phil never gets his game back"

O'Hair and Mahan are just throwing darts. Their ballstriking is just ridiculous right now.

Good day for Sean Foley.

Yeah. Plus they've mentioned him on the air a bunch of times.

A couple of years ago, Tiger shoots a seventy five and it's a trip to Vegas, blow a cool Mill with "The Brothers", some porn star sex, then back home with the wife and missus (and the dog). Livin' large!
Can you imagine Tiger's world now? All alone on his private jet, flying back to an empty mansion, hounded by sleazy media, life and career in tatters.
Tiger is finished.

"That's Golf!"

I can understand disliking them, but finding it hard to cheer for him? That seems a

True, but when you don't know the players it's little things that make you decide who to cheer for.
