There are about a dozen or so. The V1, Stockton Putting, Spearmann and PGA apps look interesting. Anyone use these?

There's a tour tempo app that's $25. Seems gimmicky, but what do I know?

I have actually wondered this myself. I downloaded a Golf Digest App with tips but haven't gotten around to playing with it much

I have Tour Tempo. I have only hit balls with it once and it threw me for a loop. At times I could hardly hit the ball. I guess if I can get myself in the tempo they suggest it will be worth it but for now I feel like I just started playing for the first time!!! The long game tones can be beeps or a voice "Swing, Set , Through!!!". Or you have some musical type tones to choose from. Long and short game tones come in 4 speeds. I do really like the short game tones though. One thing I don't like is that if I lock the iPhone the app stops (I have an old 3G model).

The Iswing is a good app for a break down of your swing you can see key points in your swing (takes 20 photos or something, like snapshots of your swing). If you dont know what you are looking for then it doesn't really matter.

I've got a few and used them:

1) Golfshot GPS - Great for GPS yardage and golf statistics for not only you but your partners. ($29 and worth every penny). If you only want score keeping and stats Golfshot Lite is free, and hands down one of the best stats programs out there.
2) MyCaddy Pro - www.imakepars.com Great but either free now or low cost. A good alternative to the above, but the stats are simplified. GPS is slightly better IMO. OHH.. best part, you can map your own courses based on the satellite images which is cool. A couple of course i play have some obnoxious trees and hazards that don't show up on Golfshot, and I know when I play those holes exactly where they are from where my ball currently lies.... because I went and customized the map online myself.
3) SwingAtEm - Sort of like V1, but I don't have any use for it since I'm not a golf instructor. Thought it would be cool to help the wife out with her game, but haven't even used it yet.
4) iLocate Apps - These are like 0.99 a piece and make it easy to find driving ranges and golf courses. I'm in sales so I travel a lot and always take the tools along.

I use this and it is really good with the Iphone4 camera. It still won't hit impact though

i just found this thread and have a bit of insight for those interested.

first, Golfshot GPS is the best i can find for GPS. $30 is well worth it and it works fantastically.

second, for a good Instructional app, i'd have to go with Golfplan. it's from the same company that does Golfshot so i guess that's a good thing. it's with Paul Azinger and it's really cool. provides video drills that make it easy to swing properly. and good short game and putting drills too. i really like it. and it links up with your Golfshot account, which is sweet.

for swing analyzers, i prefer iSwing. it has great UI and Adam Scott is their featured Pro model and he's got a nearly perfect golf swing - a good one to emulate. V1 has a bigger library of Pro models but they're not as good quality. iSwing allows you to compare swings but not merge them. V1 allows you to merge. i'd still take iSwing though.

Hey all. I just got the iSwing. Pretty great results from it. I also use a joby tripod as an attachment, although i feel dumb knowing that some people have used rubber bands to attach their device to a standbag. lol
