good start for Tiger...........not

If he keeps playing like that, Corey might even have a change of mind..... That would be disastrous for the Ryder Cup (at least for the Euros :) ). Go Tiger (or at least dont suck sooo obvious)..

The nice thing for me is seeing all the young guns getting it on this year. Beautiful course too.

Off topic a bit: I realize that Tiger will be selected for the Ryder Cup ........ simply because of his draw/cash capacity. But, Pavin will be highly criticized if Woods doesn't perform in the Cup competition. Pavin's got an almost no-win decision to make.

Charlie's putts per GIR so far this round: 1.000. That'll do it!

Wow, 30 on his first side with a bogey. And he started with two pars. And birdied #1 then. He's "cooled off" though with two more pars. Knock on wood let's hope for a few more under on his last six.

Tiger and Phil both playing well in the same round of the same tournament. What are the odds of that nowadays?

Harrington will need to go birdie, birdie, eagle to make the cut.......

Not a good way to help the captain.....

edit: He's gotten 1 birdie, only a birdie and an eagle to go.

    • A flushed towering 152 yard 8-iron that never left the pin to a foot and a half on the 17th hole after a solid drive. The ensuing birdie putt completed our two man team match claw back to even after being four down through 10.  Tied 18th and the match but felt like a win.
    • A gross 6 under for a scramble is not that good. I would buy it. Our gross winning score is usually 17-18 under. First time I've heard of a handicapped scramble.
    • Absolutely. If my skills were reversed and I was a better putter than driver of the ball, I would have made that 8-footer. For double bogey  Mine is completely blind because it goes downhill starting basically right at the corner of the dogleg with the fairway sloping left to right. I know the line to take from experience, but just to give you an idea how it sets up, I hit directly over the two trees that the white line on my screenshot passes over, with a draw. I'm pretty sure my ball landed on the left side of the fairway. The safe way is to just hit it 220 to the corner and leave yourself just under 150 into a pretty large green, but there's very little reason not to be aggressive on this hole.
    • Day 24: putting practice at home
    • And yet we both made par.  Maybe drive for dough isn't accurate after all  Definitely had some helping wind on mind, it was blowing 15-20mph all day. Yours looks like a fun hole too. Looks like a couple different ways it can be played.
