I have been looking at the mp58 range hit a friends set at the range very nice irons

Yep check out the jpx 800 pro with Luke Donald on youtube. I believe it was about 9 yds longer than the irons he uses now, though those are MP models and more than likely 3* weaker.

There was an article somewhere that stated Donald hit the JPX 800 (6-iron) eighteen yards further than his usual 6-iron. So it's probably safe to assume it's really a 5-iron!

I don't like the diamond look. I still think the MP 57 is the best looking iron head they make.

Mizuno Tzoid Pro II's are the best looking irons they've made imo.

WOW! 44* is a nine iron,so what happens when they get to the three and four iron? impossible to hit.I'm hoping to get a look at the mizuno's tomorrow, hope there in the store. My mate was going to buy the mp 58's but now wants to wait to try and look at the new irons.

Are you going to the demo day in Carlsbad? I believe Mizuno plans to have their new stock there.

I wish they hadn't got into this particular game, but I think once everyone else started to play it was inevitable.

I'll stick with my 58s, I know I am biased but I think they are some of the sweetest looking clubs out there. These new clubs look like Mizuno is trying to mesh with the rest of the market to sell more clubs (looks & the stronger lofts). They aren't bad, I just feel like they are not as unique anymore.

I guess we'll hear endless marketing chatter about how these clubs are ten yards longer than anything else they've ever produced!

No it is a simple as marketing can be ..... very soon the PW will go towards the old 9i and will be called 10i at 45* and than we all can do about nothing else than adding a 49*
