Courses around my area (7-8 courses some up to 30 minutes to get to) cost between 18-35 bucks a cart. I don't think I could play golf nearly as much as I wanted to paying 55-80 bucks for 18 holes...

around here its anywhere from $15 from the cheapest to about $50 for 18 with a cart for the most expensive, with most being around $25-30 for 18 w/cart. Try ezlinks.com. Ive found some really goods deal on there but they only have a few courses in my area on there. The only catch is that you have to reserve a tee time at least 24 hours in advance and there are limited tee times usually available. And you actually pay in advance as well so if for some reason you cant go you can only get a refund up to 24 hours before your scheduled tee time. But some of the deals are really good, sometimes more than 50% off. Theres no membership fees, I think all you have to give them is your name and email address and create a username and password. Its good when you know in advance when and where you're going to go. Just have to see what courses are available in your area. Many courses around here have certain discount days and twilight rates as well and some are already on their winter rates too.

Depends on the course around here. I don't ride so I can't speak to that (usually a cart is $15-18) but I pay around 20-40. About once a month I go out of the area to play and usually spend $75+. The 2 courses I play in my area the most are $25 to walk. I couldn't play as much as I do if I was spending $50+ every time.

I also never play weekends unless it's an out of town trip with friends. Can't stand the pace of play or the absurd rates.

i pay anywhere from $52 to $63 weekends. About $10-15 cheaper on the weekdays. That's with cart, so subtract another $15 to walk, and I can get good golf for about $35 weekdays and 45 weekends. Very good for a nice LA muni. For semi-private, I'll pay up to $80 weekends.

In my Grom Stand bag:

Driver: Ping G20, 8.5 Tour Stiff
Wood/Hybrid: G20 3W, Raylor 19*, 22*
Irons: R9 5I - SW, TM CGB LW

Putter: Scotty Cameron Kombi-Mid

Favorites: Old Ranch (Seal Beach), Ike/Babe (Industry Hills), Skylinks (Long Beach), Desert Willow (Palm Desert)

I pay $10 at the two courses I play most often (junior rates!) and since they're both owned and operated by the same people the base rate is around $40, and it decreases as it gets later in the day. Both courses are great (IMO) and challenging in different ways, plus you can play as much as you want for one greens fee at both places, so I would say it's a very fair price.

In the  Strata Bag:

3 Wood:  XL

Irons: 4-5:  AP1; 6-PW:  XL

Wedges:  Tour Grind, 52°/60°

Putter:  White Hot XG #9

Balls:  Mojo

    • With scratch being a highly sought after goal, what are the realistic chances of reaching said goal after age, 30, 40, 50, etc...?
    • LIV made a big mistake scheduling an event this week. A lot of the top LIV players are eligible to play on the DP World Tour and they could have been playing at the Scottish Open this week with the top players on the PGA Tour. It would have been a good chance for exposure outside of the Majors. Nobody watches LIV golf.
    • The equipment rules say a club is an implement designed for striking a golf ball, and consists of a clubhead and shaft, possibly  a grip.  If it doesn't fit that definition, it's something else, perhaps a training device.  But a 50 inch driver is still a club, non conforming.  A club with stickers on the face is non conforming, but counts as a club, and me made conforming by removing the stickers.
    • Had some time to review Moe's swing. I suppose I am trying that style yeah, at least with driving. I also feel like I am placing the grip more in the palm of my right hand than closer to the fingers. Not sure how to measure hip rotation.
