Just looked over my scores from the past year.
25 rounds of golf at 22 different courses.
I tend to seek out courses I've never played before (don't mind driving 100+miles to play a new course)

I've played around 100 rounds this year (about twice a week).

Unfortunately like 90 of them were at the same course

38 rds so far towards my hdcp on 7 different courses. Also have 10-12 practice rounds on 3-4 other courses.

I play every week and sometimes twice and over two main golf course, so that is at least 50 - 60 rounds this year as of October.

Season started in the end of April and 95 full rounds since then and one 16+9 (had to skip 2 holes due to slow groups in front of us...).

22 entered for handicap purposes on 8 courses.

9 practice rounds (including those played with assorted vintage clubs and balls that I'd never play in a tournament) on 3 courses.

4 scrambles.

Just looked over my scores from the past year.

This is unbelieveable dedication. I'm on the other end of the spectrum; unless I'm meeting someone, I would prefer to run down the street to the 9 hole muni that focuses on par 3 and shorter par 4 holes.

As for my playing in the last year, I just now "seriously" started golfing around the beginning of June. I imagine I've mustered 15-20 rounds in, some 9 holes, some 18. As I start to take things considerably more seriously, I hope to be playing at least once a week.

Probably played about 25 rounds this year at 3 courses. 15-year-old transportation has its limits...

~90 rounds, 12 courses. I have learned tons this year about golfing. Last year I played only 10 or so rounds, and it was my first year playing. After squeezing in this much golf in a year, I don't think I'll be able to let it go for any foreseeable future. If I can work full time, go to school full time and manage to squeeze in 18+ holes a week, then I'll be golden.

      Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image):

      Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂

      I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).

      Day 2, 12/31/25.  Similar to yesterday (rainy, no surprise), I hit primarily 6-iron full swings with the same focus;  I also hit some chips (about 1/8 swing) with the 54.  About two dozen full swings and an equal number of short shots.  All of this was indoors, off a mat, into a net, real balls.
