Here's a picture I snapped today walking off the green of the #2 handicap hole on my home course, Scothurst Golf Club in Lumber Bridge, NC.  This is just to the left of the green, so you're basically looking back from your approach shot.  The tee box is way over to the right, it's a 90* dogleg left guarded on the left by a creek and trees with the left side of the fairway sloping towards the creek.  So if you want to try to cut the corner and make the approach shot shorter, you're taking a lot of risk with it.  A safe layup with a 5 wood or 3 wood to the top of the hill, and you've got a 190 yard shot to an elevated green over water.  It's a hole that relies on a properly placed drive and an even better 2nd shot.

Hanalei, what is your thing against women?  Is someone stealing your photos?  And didn't you know that everyone uses Photoshop all the time?  Time 4 u 2 get real.

I just played this course a couple weekends ago and it was COLD and a little rainy but not too bad. Has some pretty unique holes. I was on the 11th hole about to chip onto the green when a 8pt buck came running straight at me. Im not a hunter so that was as close as ive ever been to a deer and when it was staring me in the eyes heading straight at me i froze... almost had to throw my *60 at it.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
