Those in colder climes, where are you on the pent up demand for golf scale?

2/10 so far. Β Busy enough, but once the PGA gets into the Florida swing, I start to get antsy.

Haven't touched a club since November.

7/10. Going through my freshman year of college in new england with little playing and a shorter fall season, and now being at home with a consistent 6 inches of snow on the ground, I'm really dying to go someplace warm.

3/10 for me I think.Β  I joined a local PGA simulator league (starts next week!) and I've been going to a golf dome about once a week since the season ended.Β  Neither one is a perfect substitute but it's definitely better than nothing.

8-9/10...bought myself a new driver, 3 wood, and hybrid club around christmas and cannot wait to get out there...but we are 2 or 3 months away from that right now..

I would say 6/10. There is a full length range near my work (in MN) that has heated stalls. It's better than a golf dome anyway. But I'm headed to LA in March for my brother in laws wedding. For the 9 days I will be there I am hoping to get in 3-4 rounds. So thinking of that is keeping my number at 6 otherwise it would be closer to a 8-9 by now.

3/10

My last round was mid december and I played constantly during the fall so I'm content for now.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

10/10 and I played 9 holes yesterday! We got 15 inches of snow in December and couldn't play for nearly a month. Luckily we got some warm weather and rain the last week of the month so I was able to play New Year's Eve and New Years Day. Played every day this week but it started snowing when I was coming down 9 fairway yesterday. I made birdie on 9 and by the time I got my bag loaded in my truck it was snowing like crazy. Still snowing today and colder'n the hinges of HELL! I hate winter. Every day I check the 5 day forecast hoping to see a warming trend. Maybe, just maybe, in a couple of weeks it'll warm up enough to melt off the snow and we can play a few days before the next arctic blast comes through. Β Why, oh why, did I ever choose to move to Ohio? I actually had a job opportunity in Tallahassee and another in Okeechobee but chose to move up here instead. Can you say 20/20 hindsight?

I'd say 8/10 for me.Β  I played Wednesday in 40 degrees just to get out.Β  Course was frozen and putted terribly but nice to get out and swing the sticks.Β  I'm particularly antsy this year since I ended last year playing my best ever and excited to see if the improvement translates into lower scores once I play non-winter rules.

Probably 4/10... have been lucky weather-wise and still playing fairly consistently (3x in last 2 weeks). Still sucks tho... bring on SPRING!!!!!!!

I feel your pain. My game suddenly went to the next level in September. I went from high 80s low 90s to low 80s, mid 80s. My last round before the big snow I shot 81 (42/39). Since winter set in I'm still shooting low 80s. Played 9 holes yesterday and shot 40. I can't wait to see how good I play after the thaw when I can actually read a putt and expect the ball to go where I'm aiming it. Hell, our greens are like putting on a waffle right now. They aerated them in late September and they never did heal. The only good thing about playing right now is I get some awesome distance on those frozen fairways.

I'm at least 12/10 for sure. I have new irons I've been sitting on since thanksgiving. My wife wouldn't let me touch them until Christmas and since then it's been cold, nasty, and I've been busy. I don't have any indoor domes near me so I have to rely on it being decent enough to handle the outdoor stalls...I can't wait for spring!

eleventybillion/10

I was able to play a round on New Year's Day. Shot 76 (+6 on a par 70) in pretty tough conditions...despite the fact I didn't make a birdie putt all day and drove it miserably...I was actually happy with the round.

Tonight, I watched the last few hours of the Hyundai on television while breaking in a few new pairs of golf shoes and putting intermittently in the living room. I'm practicing at a local heated range on a regular basis. Reading golf books like crazy. I'm nuts.

If I could move South I would - in a heartbeat. Can't, though.

I'd say a 7/10.

Here in WA, we are experiencing an unusual cold spell, which means the courses that actually are open are using temporary greens, which are usually garbage. And the days we are having that do manage to get above freezing are usually pouring rain. It has been nothing but range time for almost two months for me, I managed to squeeze in 9 holes in that time period, which has been my only chance to play my new irons. I still haven't been able to try out my new woods on the course. This la nina weather is great for our snow in the mountains, but garbage for golf season.

9/10...i think going to the heated range near me 3 times a week is making me more and more antsy...i'm in desperate need for some green grass and swings...

I am currently 11/10.Β  I have played a few times on an indoor simulator, however it's just not cutting it.Β  Once the PGA starts up, I start to really get the itch to play.Β  Looking to go to florida in march, but I don't know if I can wait that long.Β  I may have to take a weekend and head down south somewhere.Β  Being in Eastern Canada, it's pretty cold and snowy here until April / May...so still have a little while yet.

7/10...I really want to golf, but I know I'm going to be horrible, so that takes my excitement down a notch.

The putt putt thing in the basement sort of holds me over.

I am about 5/10 at this time, realistically I have about 3-3.5 more months before golf season starts here. Winter so far has been good, only a small amount of snow like 2010, I managed to get out on April 1st last year which was the earliest in many years. I have a new set of irons coming, probably delivered early next week so I will be heading to the heated outdoor range when they arrive to see if I made a mistake with my purchase.
