what happened to Natalie?  She switches putters and wins her one and only tournament and putts the best of her career, switches putters again and has not sniffed a leaderboard yet hasn't even had a top 10 with the new putter.  She had 18 starts last year with 14 cuts made and zero top 10 finishes.

Seems like shes always hurt, chronic back problems much like Fred Couples though I think his happened when he was much older, I dont think she's even 30 yet.   When she does play, she's pretty competitive but she just simply doesnt get many starts.   Maybe this year will be better for her.

She sent me a message the other day with the news. She wanted to get my blessings before she made it public. Hahaha i said it would be ok since I am happily married and what not.

When a company makes a club in the USA I will proudly display their brand here. All of mine were made in china by somebody making $2 a day. Shame on you Mr club manufacture.

I'm pretty sure it was public on Friday. Reporters were tweeting about it while the Camilo was hitting the fan.

Luckily (or unluckily), public opinion doesn't require a charge or conviction.  Roethlisberger is a great quarterback, but he's a sleazeball.

Oh, I agree... but I think the people who try to compare him to Michael Vick are overstepping. There've been a fair number of stories have tried to equate the "comebacks" each has made this year. They're not even close. One guy was convicted and sent to prison, the other may just be an über-sleaze. (Well, he's either that or he's über-über-stupid... and my money's on the former.)

Valid point.  On the topic of Vick, I don't like him much (probably cause I love my cats) but he did go to Federal prison for his crimes.  No one has to like him, but I'm amazed how there is more vitriol for him than there is for the litany for drunk drivers, wife/woman beaters, and other low lifes.

    • Day 27 - 2026-01-16 Played 18 with some of the usual "too many voices" going on when I'm working on swing stuff. Fun to get out in great bay area winter weather.
    • I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.
    • No one in the world is as smart as Phil thinks he is.
    • Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
