Then it's downright stellar - hence the 14 index after 4 mo. I suppose.

I would say pretty often. I did, so I put the highest that was offered. I have no idea what my index is.

You are in heady company:

According to Dave Lancer, the Director of Information for the PGA Tour, Bubba Watson had this year’s highest average swing speed according to Trackman with a speed of 123.24 mph (311.4 yards per measured drive). This is 0.01 faster than last year’s highest average from J.B. Holmes.

Have to agree-I can put up 115 in the store trying to crank it, and the sim doesn't produce the slice or duck hook I would hit in real life swinging that hard.  Also, it's easy to figure out your handicap-there are plenty of golf handicap calculators online.  I don't have an official handicap, but if you enter your scores and the rating/slope of the tees you played it'll calculate it for you.

BTY your handicap is not what you scored on the first hole

I know 3-4 months after starting I was scoring 114 not the mid 80's you need for a 14 cap - good for you.

Where I come from, whether or not you're "good" is judged by the scores you post, not by swing speed on a simulator.

AG, welcome to the game, you might want to look at playing a few (20-30) rounds on a full size course to get the feel of where you are before you start worrying about swing speed. It isn't

all that important to enjoying the game, since swing faster means just sending the ball farther offline for 99% of us.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

It's a completely valid response.  One of the last things you should worry about is if your swing speed is "good."  Work on hitting it straight, keeping it in play, hitting the distance you plan on hitting, chipping, bunker play, putting, and course management first.

It's possible that he meant, "you have enough power to now focus on consistent contact and making the shots you need to score well". I said "possible".
