I'd say the chances of them not being fake are about 1 in 10,000 or less.

I'd give 50/50 that they will be somewhat useful and probably 90% they are in the bin in 12 months, but that is based on the bin in my garage!

Yeah, they're fake... and you shouldn't be good with it no matter how cheap they are.

Why would you want to pay anything for fakes unless you just plan to showcase them or try to sell them to someone else as real?

You can not buy a real Cameron or R11 in china at any price.... Even the so call "authorized " stores sell fakes because the margins are huge.

When a company makes a club in the USA I will proudly display their brand here. All of mine were made in china by somebody making $2 a day. Shame on you Mr club manufacture.

30 euros for a legit scotty......what golfer would ever think this is a legit/real scotty cameron? so fake. maybe someone who is in denial thinking they have found a great deal. please don't waste your money.

golf is a lot like life. the more you enjoy it, the better off you are. a3_biggrin.gif

To the OP;  I'd love to see pics of the R11 he got you.

Or the Cameron for that matter.

I guess I don't understand your point.  There is no doubt in my mind they'll be counterfeit (fake).  This seems like a torrential waste of money, unless you're primary concern is hitting like a Melvin and looking like you've got top-notch gear.

The products you'll receive may look like an R11 or SC Newport, but will perform terribly.   110 Euros is not 'cheap' either (equivalent to ~ $150 US Dollars).  For this amount of money, you could buy a genuine clubs that are engineered and tested to perform.

So... what's in it for you?

Superficially they'll look OK.

The problem is obviously the insides and the shafts. The driver will not perform well.

As far as the putter goes, as long as the loft and lie are OK, it would probably be OK. IT's not as if there's that much technology there.

It seems to me that apart from supporting an illegal and immoral industry, the OP, seems to want to impress his golfing friends more than he wants clubs that work.

More disturbing is the idea that he indicates that he's not even sure they are fake. There is no possibiity that they are genuine.

I got an email from Nigeria the other day.  Not sure if the millions reserved for me are legit.......

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

You may consider forwarding it to the original poster?  Sounds like he enjoys a gamble.

I was referring more to the driver than the putter.  Yeah, I suppose putters would be a bit easier to "mask".  The obvious shortcoming of fakes is the performance.

I'm about positive that a fake R11 would have a couple pretty obvious, yet subtle flaws to it in regards to appearance alone, let alone the obvious differences in performance.

Hence why I would like to see pics of the "cheap" R11.

And yes, why anyone would want to still spend decent money on something that they probably know themselves to be fake is beyond me.  It's illogical.

haha.  It's only 110 euro.  Isn't that about $150?

You have no problem throwing away that kind of money?  Ok.........

And I certainly am not worked up.  You do whatever you want.

(I'd still be interested in seeing pics)

    • Day 185 - 2025-04-03 Had a good 2.5 hour session at Golf Evolution. Kinda glad it was still wet and windy out today as I wouldn't have gotten such a good session in if I played. Got up to 93 MPH (with a pause) on my 6I and 130 MPH ball speed (on a different slightly slower hit, a bit more de-lofted than I'll want eventually).
    • I'm highly probable for the entire weekend, thanks for doing the hard work to set it up.  I can't wait for more details.
    • I take 2nd, is a confirmation that you can eventually win your major and also is good material for having a laugh about it in the distant future.
    • I'm a relatively new golfer (<5 years) in my mid-thirties. So far I've spent most of my time and money on lessons and actually golfing. I'm currently a 90s-100s player, but hope to break into the 80s with lessons and practice. I'm definitely not of the mindset that flashy expensive clubs will help me play better...I try to make the assumption that my equipment is more capable than I am. That said, I do know that realistically that threshold does exist somewhere. I just have no idea where. At what point should I consider an upgrade from starter clubs to something I can grow into and improve with?  My stuff: Starter set (Callaway Strata) from Amazon. (3w, 5h, 9i-PW) Gently used Cleveland Wedges (LW, SW, GW) - My old ones were from a set from the late 90s, so I did upgrade these. Gently used TaylorMade M1 driver - The starter set driver had a regular flex, and I had several knowledgeable people tell me I should have a stiff flex Thanks in advance!
    • Looking forward to this movie, it checks all the boxes for me. Indie Movie True Story Cast is all great character actors Walton Goggins! No Whammies!!!!!!!!!
