Oh for crying out loud. What a load of absolute and complete BS!

All of these armchair experts who see themselves as wise analysts who can't wait for the opportunity to say something critical.

I can just see it now - if he doesn't hang on tomorrow, all of these experts will be shaking their heads and saying "You know, he's a good player, but he can't handle pressure." as if it's an observation that only they could have made.

McIlroy's swing is as close to perfect as you'll ever see.

I hope you are kidding. Name one thing that isnt 100% accurate and rational about my post. I'm waiting...hurry up smart guy. ...waiting. His swing is as close to perfect for sure, that doesnt mean you cant spot where his mistake starts and furher more that has nothing to do with any sort of negative. You perhaps read the post defensively for some personal reason, time to take a deep breath perhaps?

part of me wishes that rory wasnt where he is and the score in 2nd place (-5) was leading to make it more exciting, but the other part of me also is enjoying rory hammer the field!

Anyone else notice how miller is trying to be positive? He opened the telecast apologizing for ripping mcdowell's swing yesterday. Every time he starts to say something negative he realizes it and tries to save face. Sometimes it works and sometimes its just awkward.

Probably told to get his act together or he's gone.

Thank god I don't have to listen to him for this event.

Wow, yesturday I figured if he shot -1 today he would win it... its game over now.  I would bet my house he takes this tournament tomorrow.  I was hoping Yang could keep it close and also a Mickelson come back :(

I think everyone thought today would be the day that everyone else picked up the pace and caught up. Rory had other ideas though methinks...

Well, I guess my Sunday afternoon has opened up a bit. Nobody's catching Rory now, and I'm not going to spend all day wishing for a train wreck.

Why would anyone wish for a train wreck anyway? I could never wish that on any player....no matter how much i disliked them.

That's why I won't be glued to my couch tomorrow. Rory's lead is insurmountable, and the only way to generate any sort of drama would be if he was to collapse and shoot 80 again. That's certainly not something I want to anticipate, so there's no reason for me to watch the final round in its entirety. I'll tune in for the last few holes, and watch him make the winning putt. Barring the unthinkable, that's all I need to see.

I know they are tv people and they need drama, but in the last 15 min of tv coverage the announcers mentioned rorys final round at augusta at least a dozen times... I mean give it a rest. I hope he wins just so we don't have to hear about it. We need tiger back so he and rory can go at it.

    • Day 12: stole about 10 minutes in the garage, doing my drill with foam balls.
    • Day 116 12-6 Still working on getting to lead side. Tonight I also tried some skill work with clubface awareness.  Hit foam balls.
    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
