I have not read this entire thread but so far it seems there is a consensus to stay away.  I did respond to an on-line offer of 2 dozen  "free"balls for $19.95 shipping handling which is ok to try out the balls as that is what I would be paying for something like Laddie Precepts. When I phoned the order in, the operator did try to get me to agree to test a set of woods with the proviso that I would be getting a free putter. I declined. Hopefully that will be the end of it and no credit card suprizes. Should a set of clubs arrive on my doorstep, I will refuse delivery. Keeping fingers crossed!

Good move, just don't accept the demo's which you have to pay for and then pray/beg for the return/refund.

I like their  balls, I seem to get really good distance with them.

Thanks. I notice you are from San Diego. Where do you normally play?  I am in Escondido and usually play some of the N County courses such as Eagles Crest,  Castle Creek, Vineyard, and Miramar once in awhile.  Game pretty much sucks these days, but only recently started playing real courses again owing to lots of projects around the house but do manage to get in daily practice in Cage Net set up.

Edit. Looked up your game golf. Tecolate Canyon, have not played there in many years. Used to be called the Sam Snead Course I believe  (or maybe he only designed it). Not far from Admiral Baker Field.

Hi @Hacker James - Off Topic in box below

Spoiler

I'm in the UTC area and usually play Tecolote and Balboa nine.  I prefer the 2 hour or less rounds.

Next most frequent course would be Torrey Pines followed by Vineyard.  Perhaps we can put together a San Diego forum member meetup.

That was you with the Cage Net post a while back?  I liked that setup and wish I had space where my wife would accept that.  That net and a SkyTrack and I'd be loving my practice sessions.

I replied to that thread. I mentioned I had photos of my set up on or about December 8. Improved Practice Area. I had completely removed sod from back yard and laid in artificial turf. Cage is on castor wheels and made out of pvc pipe. There are a few San Diegans on the forum (some in stealth mode from another forum).

Any credit card surprises should be contested with the credit card company immediately.

Credit card surprises are easy to deal with.  Just call the credit card company and they'll do a chargeback.  The burden of proof is on the merchant and they won't have any proof.

realizing a lot has been discussed on this thread, I am no longer receiving annoying phone calls from Warrior, but I still receive their emails, wanting to give me "gifts" totaling $350, no purchase necessary e.t.c. for my being a "loyal" customer. Heck, all I ever replied to was an offer for golf balls, which I found to be pretty good and before, when the called, I politely told them, that I was 75 years old, and had no intention of buying another set of clubs. They stopped calling, but I guess their computer will still be sending me invites for "free" stuff ad-infinitem.  Not sure what the "catch" is, but I ain't bitin...

They are at it again. I am still receiving emails. This time it is for "Indoor Golf System" which includes :

1. Putter (mallet or Blade)

2. two sleeves of Warrior balls

3. Return Putting run

$400 value....Free of course...just pay shipping and handling.

I won't bite, as once you do, they never let up. Still....it might be worth it, just to get the putting run and I do not have one.

Three steps to beating Warrior golf.

1. Pay with a Green Dot card.

2. Have it sent to the nearest abandoned home.

3. User a disposable phone number from an app like Burner.

It is basically like a Visa gift card. You can buy them with cash and use them like a debit card except it isn't tied to any of your personal information. Ideal for people who a very wary of using their card online and criminals alike.

Further to my previous review I called Warrior again today about my refund for around $350 but it has still not been processed. The trial clubs that they sent me were sent back about a month ago I am becoming very worried about this. I will update again if anything happens.

Chargeback means getting your card cancelled I am told. It is a last resort but in the meantime I will keep trying to get a refund from Warrior in other ways

No. Only if you file fraudulent chargebacks.

The Warrior clubs are decent from a reputable company. I went to visit them during a trip to Southern California and saw their golf club operations. A sound and legitimate company. If you purchase from them you can negotiate a price. The hybrids, irons and wedges are very good. Their woods are average.

I became a lucky owner of about 24 of their golf balls when a "friend" (I got to get him back someday) cleaned out his golf room.  They are "ok".  I play "soft" in general and mostly :bridgestone:e6. My response overall is "meh", not totally bad but, for me and my strokes I would not buy them.  (I also don't play one of the :callaway: softs for the same reason.)

As one who has heard many such pitches, I have taken on a few approaches.  With some companies, I go to the fact that I speak very fluent German and I can go into a hard to understand dialect of that language as well.  Or, if I am in a pissant mood, I will talk to them as if I am a lawyer going over every point in their ad.  Keep them on line in both cases as it ties up their sales figures. Usually they hang up on me!

A lot one can do if they are retired and have time.
