hey guys. so today i went out with a golf camp group that was scheldualed to play 4 holes (we had around 30 people). so were playing and one kid decided to bring a driver with a hole in the top. so the people wouldnt let him use it and he asked to use mine. i said yes and he proceeds to tee the ball up super high and immidealty hits the ball. well he hit a sky ball and made a dent in my new driver. of course im made but him and his dad refuse to do anything. so then after that we get to the second hole and the group ahead of us decide to linger on the green until the sun literally goes down and we have to go so we didnt get to play the 3rd or 4the hole. does anyone know how to fix a dent in the top of a driver. thanks

In many ways........I am jealous of YOU!!!  I never played golf until after I was old and married....LOL. If I had a do-over.......I would have played golf on the HS team.  I mean that...........

I was football, BB, Track in HS......in retrospect, I truly regret not being on the golf team.  I think  I would have kicked $ZZZZ.........LOL

It's easy to say now because I can play pretty good............but hell'ya!!!!...   I regret not playing..........

This might be a stupid idea but what about a dent puller? I do not know if there is a difference between pulling a dent from a car body and one from a driver head. Never tried that before an hopefully will never have too!

you get a skyball dent if you tee the ball up to high or twist your hand over before you hit he ball. its not that hard to imagine.

I'm thinking if it doesn't hurt the function then don't worry about it - just keep using it for now.  Put "Driver" on the top your Christmas wish list this year and shop around for the one you want before hand.

There are a lot of very nice drivers out there to be had for < $50.  Just to name a couple I have recently looked into on ebay - Callaway FT-5 and Nike Dymo 2.  I'm sure there are many more from other manufacturers.  3-4 year old drivers are still very nice and are very cheap.  Compared to a driver that comes in a $170 set (and dents with a hit), they would be 1000 times better.

Still, to turn your hands over like that, and hit the top of the club with the ball enough to dent it. Wow..

Sounds like the entire set cost him $170. A guy I play with put a dent in his R11. Same thing; teed it up too high and got under it.

I mean i have popped up drives before, well usually my 3-wood. I put some serious hurting on a golf ball, i just don't believe these drivers are that fragile.
