He's trying something I told him to try: swing cross-handed and yet continue to get good shaft lean. To do so you'll have to have a good pitch elbow.

He liked the feeling and sensation and we worked on that for a little while. His swing looks really good these days (and that's sayin' something).

Wow Erik, you're teaching the founder/co-author of the Stack and Tilt Swing?! This is incredibly great for you. I can see that swinging cross-handed the right elbow is extremely close to his chest.

No. He hit some balls (and I caddied for him the next day in a little event) at Whispering Woods and I gave him some sensations and shared some thoughts with him. He values the input of me as well as a lot of other people and was simply gathering input. I'm pleased that he liked a lot of what I had to say and the things I saw and had him try. That's all.

That's how my Dad plays, crosshanded.  To watch him swing, it makes absolutely no sense, but the old fart can whack 'em straight all day long.  Really gets the younger guys he plays with all sorts of PO'd!
