Played 9 holes at community tonight as a sub for a work league. Played the back 9 on the hills course. The course seemed pretty decently maintained. Didnt really notice anything other than bunkers were mostly full of water and looked like more mud and dirt than sand. Seems like most of the courses around here I play have pretty terrible bunker conditions. The greens were lightning quick. Made putting quite an adventure if you were above the hole. Also, I like to think I'm in decent shape, but damn that course is a pain to walk. Even for just 9 holes.

Which league did you play in? I was out there in the evening as well.

Yes the greens are in great shape and fast. I would say they were about a 9.5 on Monday but were about 10.5-11 last night.

Anyone up to go play this weekend?

Maybe Sunday. I plan on getting some good practice in this weekend. I need to reconfirm my wedge distances, work on some distance putting, and get a range session in.

I could play anytime before noon on Sunday.

LexisNexis league.  They tee off between 430 and 5ish I think.  Just subbed last night so I don't know when I'll get back out with them. Shot a 41.  Went +5 on the first three holes. Doubled both the par 3's thanks to terrible tee shots.  Hadn't played there in awhile so I was short a club on the uphill 11th hole and I was a club long on the downhill 12th.  Played par the last 6 holes so that made the evening much better after my start.

At the edge of your ability, slow, with a station set up to help you with the "wall" stuff. :)

I'm breaking in another new guy tomorrow. He played his first round on a big boy course with us this past week in the OBX. We will play Falcon if possible.

Also. Has anyone played Madden yet?

I've played it, but not for a few years. Looks like tomorrow afternoon for me. Anyone in?

I should be done by afternoon unless there are any major issues.

Is there a course already planned?

I'm fine, slight fat lip, and unfortunately no it wasn't vlog'd as it would have been hilarious.

    • Day 305 - Grip and backswing work. Full swings were bothering the hip a bit.
    • Day 56 - 2024-11-15 Light day. Lots of catch-up work. Checked the grip to make sure I wasn't compensating there, and did a little backswing work.
    • Day 197 (15 Nov 24) - Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management.  Solid round of 83 (41/42) - 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.
    • Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
