Chevron won't be back as a sponsor.

Sounds like you are calling your handicap your lowest ever score.

A 9 would pretty much have to have half of their next 20 rounds playing to 3 to get to 3.

NIce to know that you can change your mind in light of popular opinion and use the pathetic "I was joking" defense. How convenient.

You clearly weren't jokinhg and fifteen multiquotes are not needed to prove it.

Tiger isn't a charity case.  He has won more than anyone currently on tour and has won in dramatic fashion while  "players" have had to watch him sink putts in their face and beat them.

There is no way in HELL Zach or any other player for that maatter will let him "win."  Actually in fact, considering how much Tiger has won beat everyone consistently in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if most want stick it to him.

You are delusional.

I was joking, but obviously it wasn't clear enough. The next time I am joking, I will add I AM JOKING to the end of my post for the benefit of others.

Thanks again Officer Shorty for defusing the situation and trying to correct someone else. Shouldn't you be be hitting balls somewhere or maybe exercising to get into form for your quest to reach the seniors tour???? If you practice like you talk you will be on tv very very soon.I would rest those old fingers for a week and stop typing so your fingers dont tighten up when you try to hit a clutch shot to qualify or make the cut.

why was tiger making such exagerated cut practice swings?  it seemed like 95% of his shots he was trying to cut.  does he think this is better?  is this a new thing sean has him doing?

HIs path has been pretty drastically out to the right, he's trying to overdue it while practicing. This is just one tournament. By mid season next year, only then can you make judgements on whether he is back or not. That's just my opinion.

Not what I was saying at all.  I know the calculation well.  What any one, or two, etc..., scores will do to a handicap, is varied, and entirely dependent on what scores are already in the calculation, and when they were posted.  My point simply was, someone with an established handicap isn't likely to move their index very much with one good round.  If you're trying to get better (i.e., lower your index, from wherever it is), you'll need to shoot better than it, and then do it again, and probably again....

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

No.

You'll CERTAINLY have to do it again and then do it on average HALF the time. Not once and maybe once again. I'm talking about a correctly maintained handicap.

The sad thing is that you don't recognize that you feeling that way and then expressing that feeling reflects poorly on you and no one else.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

    • Day 35 (6 Jan 26) - Got opportunity to play today, opted to mix it up - pulled Driver, 3w and 4h, keeping 7w, 5-Pw, 50 and 55 wedges and putter.  Played a set of tees up as well - goal: focus on the irons, especially the scoring clubs.  Had one of the sessions in a while (3 over 39 front, 6 over 42 back (a couple late round poor shot choices)).  Had a blast working a 10 club setup…
    • Day 17 - 2026-01-06 Mix of mat and net work, same focus on trail side and hands. Mirror work again later in the day.
    • Hi all. I have sought permission from admin to post this here. First, here's a quick link to my products on TST, which a few of the mods have been road-testing...  Most of you would be aware of the import tariffs imposed on importers to the US circa September last year. Prior to their introduction, I was selling a decent number each week into the 'States. Since the tariffs came in - which added ~AU$60 to the total cost of getting them over there - sales have dropped to virtually nil. I think fear of the tariffs is the biggest part rather than the actual cost increase, despite me declaring everywhere on my site that we pay the tariffs and have successfully got every order into the US without any problems since. What is still unknown to most US consumers is that these tariffs will DOUBLE in February as Australia Post will no longer be allowed to offer "private" rates, they all change to "commercial". I do indeed think that this will make the products uncompetitive to ship there. So what's the backstory?  I'm a small Aussie business, not some corporate juggernaut. I invented these products - not a reseller for someone else. The import tariffs double in February, so add another ~15% to the total cost. If you want StanceMate alone I can do a super deal on a run-out model PREVIEW HERE (note you cannot purchase this yet. I think the shipped price will be about AU$110 inc Shipping (tariffs included). If you want to reduce the cost of the whole Stryper Plus Bundle I can swap the runout StanceMate to reduce the overall price by AU$60. These work EXACTLY as the newer version, just not as premium quality in the way the finish is achievbed in production) IMPORTANT: All import tariffs are PRE-PAID at my end, and clears customs no problem. I've sent a half dozen since October with every one delivered. NB: I'm not here to get into the politics of the decisions on tariffs, so let's not go down that road. It is what it is! So StanceMate to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - about US$70 Bundle to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - US$240 Bundle (with version 1 StanceMate) to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - US$200 Cheers Corbs
