How do I confirm serial numbers off a set of irons I'm thinking of purchasing on eBay?

I just bought a set of Mizuno MP 58 on ebay. What I made sure first is that the seller has a return policy. Then if the seller gives you the serial number in advance you can call Taylormade and check to which set that serial number belongs to. But once you get the clubs make sure you have them checked by a pro near by to confirm they are authentic before the return period is over. That is a little bit of work but certainly worht it. Good luck with your purchase!

I don't believe TM will confirm a club's authenticity anymore, although they will tell you if it's definitely a fake.  All a counterfeiter has to do is go into a golf shop and find one serial number and print that on every club they make and they would show up in TM's database.  But that doesn't make the club real.  However, if your club has a fake serial number, then obviously they can confirm it's a fake.  Just an FYI from the last time I called them, which was about a year ago.  I've got a Superfast 2.0 TP driver being shipped in soon so I'll be calling again soon.

      Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.

      I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.

      Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.

      Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
