So here's the question.

When choosing a video clip for analysis should you select your better swings or are you better served by analyzing the crappy swings? Seems to me that you'll potentially learn more from watching your mistakes than watching a good swing.

Ultimately I guess you need to study a mix of both but starting off I assume you'd be better of seeing what you are doing wrong. No point in trying to hide your flaws from someone you're asking to help you.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

I think you'll find that there's surprisingly little difference between them.

Just submit an "average" swing.

I've been meaning to ask the same thing, glad you did Ernest.  I always submit my better swings, but after iacas' replyI'll probably be a little less picky.

Yea, there's no difference. You just "find" the golf ball better on your good swings. Pretty much the same sequence of events is occurring.

Was also debating about this.

I had my father tape a couple of my shots on Saturday, but then I looked at the video, I realized I was overswinging (which is an issue of mine, and once I realized it, I hit the ball better for the rest of the round ) so I didn't know if I should post the videos when I already know a big problem. I guess I will anyways.

Don't take my word for it! :) Prove it to yourself. Put your swings in Analyzr or something and you'll quickly see how similar they are. Your first swing, ideally, will be different than your last swing during a practice session, but if you want an analysis on your "typical swing" then you should submit your "typical swing" no? :-D

Just to add, I'm referring mostly to new students, players inexperienced with making changes with a qualified instructor, players who don't film their swing a whole lot, etc. Many experienced students can make two different swings if they want, so I've observed. Just clarifying my opinion.
