On the lazer aimer, you'd also want to look where the laser ends up to see if the face is aiming into the ground, into the sky, 6 inches above, etc.

As to aim, $10 for SeeMore Triangulator, or $150 for the Pelz....

hmmmm, let me think....

On one hand, the laser lets you do the drills by yourself.  The triangle thing takes two people.

Then on the other hand, if one is going to spend that much on a laser, one could add a few more $$$ and just go get fitted for real sweet Edel putter.

Now this thread got me looking into Edel putters, and I see there is a fitter in my area......  Ruh roh Shaggy!

For someone else? Don't care. They don't really affect aim much.

Personally? I think they compensate for something in the putting stroke, which may be a compensation for aim. I don't use 'em. No need to. I like to use my fingertips for feel.

Sure. But I'd be concerned about how tall that mirror sticks up. You want a small mirror that fixes onto the face with double-sided tape or something. Not a big thing that could change your aim.

What you'll find with a putter you can't aim is that it'll look like it's open or closed when the laser bounces right back square. It won't look right.

Erik - I haven't seen that gizmo in person, so I can't speak to the size or orientation of the mirror it comes with.  But it sure does look like it sticks up in the picture.  The only time I've seen it was on Mickelson's short game DVD, and he has a putter that Odyssey made for him with a mirror insert.  It's voice activated, so aim at a line or door jam or whatever, then say ON, and the dot appears.  I do like the idea of it.

Not sure if you already got your putter but I just picked one up from MannKrafted and oh man is it sweet.  Here are a couple of the pics:

All the putters are hand made and start a billet of steel.  I have never felt a putter quite like this.  Very good looking, very solid and the sweet spot is huge.  My favorite thing about the putter is how consistent my speed is.  I just have a ton of confidence with it. I like a forward press feel when I putt and LaMont created this Long Slope neck to get my hands in that position, the neck also helps balance the face for this bad boy- it weighs 368g so it is nice and heavy too.

    • Thank you.  I'll cross it off the list since it isn't going to achieve what I want.
    • While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
    • Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.
    • No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!! Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
    • I don't think that is true at all. That is off-topic here, I think.
