Looks like a fish? I thought only Oakmont had pews.

You're right, it does kind of look like a fish though. (chopped into 3 pieces by a sushi chef)

It's an ancient Choctaw glyph form of writing. It means "The sun will rain [set down] fire upon those who claim to be masters of the earth, for no man can own what he did not create."

I'm just kidding. I have no idea.

If I remember correctly this is on the the Ocean course. It is a pretty short hole and doesn't come into play much. I could be remembering wrong though.

Yep #13 on the Ocean course, tons of room to the right.  Good eyes Mike

Yes it's pretty good when it's clear.  Can see 4 different courses (Olympic Lake, Harding Park, Lake Merced and SF Club) and the BART station lol  Some of the best courses in the country within a few miles.  Harding is my favorite.

If I remember correctly it is a great view of both the Lake Course and you can see Lake Merced Golf Club as well. Not as great as what you see on Google Earth. The trees hide that type of view.

That's what I was thinking but it still sounds a pretty good vantage point, nonetheless.

I'm rather taken with the layout of the course as a whole. Is it very much the poor relation of the course they're using for the Open or would that be too harsh an assessment?
