i play Wilson Staff 48 & 58 wedges - needed something to split the difference & NOBODY makes a 53 degree wedge anymore (OK, Cobra) ... so I found a Mizumo 53 which I like...

I play Wilson Staff Di9 wedges @ 46, and 49.5 degrees with Lynx LxW in the 52 and 60.  The Wilsons play high and straight and the Lynx are great when I need to spin the ball.

I have Mizuno (cousin to Mizumo perhaps?) and Cleveland 53 degree wedges, but they're as old as dirt.

I like the feel of BeCu wedges(See Signature for what I use),  I am looking for a Wilson BeCu wedge to replace the Hogan,as I like Wilson wedges the best. IMHO I think the BeCu Sandy Andy is the best sand wdge ever made.

I had been playing mizuno faldo wedges since I started and I absolutely loved them but my 60 was my all purpose club so the grooves were just about done. I just bought a vokey 60-07 to replace it and am going to try it out today. If all goes well I maybe be completing the vokey set for my bday next month.

Playing callaway diablo edges in the pw and aw, Mizuno mpt 53* sand wedge ( low bounce andusedfrom fairway) anda 58* Wilson tw9 12* bounce for sand shots and deep rough. Ilike the OEM aw because it is used for normal fairway shots@ 110 yards, the sw is 90-100 yard club. In reali, play what feels comfortable to you. The important factor is to find the bounce that works with your swing and course conditions.

I've never had a full matched set of wedges.  Currently use four wedges... Mizuno, Vokey, and Callaway (2).  Wedges don't have to match, but you do have to like the look, feel, and get good distance control.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
