aw comon man ... thats weak !     Take a cart if you have to.     Just kidding - it gets plenty hot up here in the N/E - never played golf where it's truly hot.      I think I would still do it - load up on the sunscreen and drink water by the jug.

Atleast you choose not to play. I can't play for a minimum of 1 month due to a muscle rupture in my back...

damn man, sorry to hear about your situation.

op: i've done 20k ruck marches with full battle rattle in the service in the middle of July in san antonio, and doing anything outdoors in that kind of heat is a horrific experience imho.  i'd imagine i'd need a cart, umbrella, plenty of water, and an early tee time to golf in weather of that magnitude.

I play at 9am most mornings. So far that has been early enough to beat the heat. And we have had a nice breeze most days the last three weeks. But tomorrow I'm playing in a pro-am at my club which will start at 1pm and it's suppose to be hot. I'm looking forward to it though. A mini-tour event(Emerald Coast Tour) and it will be fun playing with the guys trying to make it to the next level. Hope I don't embarrass myself though.

We tee off around 7:30 here in savannah. On our second round it starts getting very hot. Lots of water and a damp towel

Wow, very sorry to hear it. I've been through similar and feel for you.

I wish it would warm up and stay that way here in New Hampshire. We'll get a week of nice, sunny weather and then another week (or two) with a cold, lingering low pressure system that drizzles 50 degree rain non-stop. blech. And then when the sun comes out again there is a fresh explosion of black flies and mosquitoes.

I played the other day when the index was 108, I feel your pain. Thankfully today it was 80 and I was out playing. Funny how the weather works. I would just work on playing at an earlier time, if possible, or maybe just going out for 9 holes to at least enjoy the game until the heat passes.

I was out for 2 years due to breaking my foot. Sucked, but at least I am back now.

It is extremely hot here in Illinois as well. Twilight hours are my only hope.. unfortunately while trying out a new swing for my driver.. I messed up my left shoulder pretty bad and the soreness and "tear" i feel has me sitting out for a few weeks.

Just do a 9 hole round here and there.. don't leave it completely.

You guys have soaring heat now, we have ice cold here in South Africa. Tried playing on sunday and shivered the shit out of my clubs. COLD = CLUBHOUSE = LARGE CUP OF COFFEE. The only good thing about winter is you get more distance which doesnt help when you trying to putt, lol

in the cold, do you feel more stiff while you play? wonder if that's a risky choice.. pulled muscles, etc.

Personally i dont like doing anything in the winter especially when its as cold as it was on sunday but the bug has bitten so bad that its a force beyond my control. Answer to ur question, make sure you dressed warm and make sure you warm up properly before you tee off. And coffee, ALOT of coffee

High was 105 today where I golfed in Vegas, and I teed off at 4:00pm. I though it was rather nice out . The heat will never stop me from golfing, but the cold is a different story. We'll have to see how my Under Armor under garments hold up this year, I have not golfed in the winter yet. This spring was my first season golfing.

Sincerely, Jim

Its the middle of winter in australia. Its terrible every day is 12degrees and rain. Course is drenched under foot. Makes for plugged drives and very difficult chipping conditions.
