Like you I have always dreamed about what company I would like to be sponsored by. Who do you go with if you had to pick all the equipment from only that company???

Titleist? Great driver (907), wedges (spin milled vokey)and putters (cameron)
Callaway? Good driver (Ft-5), irons (x Forged) and putter (odyssey)
Taylormade? Great driver (superquad), fairway wood (R7)
Mizuno??? Great irons (MP 32/67) and putter (Bettinardi)

My vote is for Titleist and I would pick the following
907 D2, 906F, 755 Irons, SM Vokey and SC Newport 2

How bout you???

Definitely Titleist, Mizuno would get consideration for their irons, but that's really the only thing close.

you will love the R7 TPs as do I......don't be too quick to judge on the wedges though...I have been using the TP satins and have been really impressed....never liked to CG10s...have used vokey and mizuno MP-t in the past and pretty darn close the the spin milled vokey...their putters I agree are pretty bad though....

If Callaway was willing to replace a lot of broken clubs, I'd go with them - the way they drill the hosel through the club head plus me hitting a fat shot leads to a lot of broken Callaways. That's if I was paid a whole load of money to do it - otherwise I'm getting the clubs my way. Otherwise I'd go with Mizuno - their irons and wedges are so money. Not sure about Titleist, because, well, I haven't really tried them.

Have you tried others besides Cleveland????

I am actually pretty impressed with their clubs....would have never even considered them until I started using their fairway woods.....

Have you tried others besides Cleveland????

Oh yeah, I've tried lots and lots of clubs. If going with one companies clubs, a "company sponsorship" per say (and yes, it's fun to think about) I'd want to start with someone who makes really great irons and wedges, since those are the clubs we use the most. For whatever reason I really like the irons/wedges from Cleveland, Titleist and Mizuno. Never been a huge fan of Mizuno fairway woods or drivers and Titleist woods are just a touch more difficult to hit than some others. Certainly good for shot making though. With the addition of the laucher series woods (I'm not a big fan of the HiBore) and Never Compromise putters I think Cleveland has a very quality full line of product to offer. I love Callaway woods but their irons have always been a tough thick for me. Some of their newer one's look pretty good though. I just don't like Taylor Made, call it personal preference.

I guess in a perfect world Woods- Callaway irons -Mizuno wedges- Cleveland putter - Cameron

If I had to pick one company, top to bottom, I would have to go with Ping. While they aren't the leader in any particular type of club, they make very good clubs in each category.

Callaway would be a close second (I'm a high handicapper right now, so Titleist and TM don't appeal to me quite as much). If I were actually any good, I'd definitely go with Titleist.

I would be stuck between Titleist and Mizuno. Mizuno irons are amazing as well as their wedges... but they lack in the wood dept. Titleist is the only drivers I have ever owned and I love the traditional look they have always had. Scotty is great.

So I think I am going to have to go with Titleist

I'm going to have to agree with you on Ping, the rapture driver is probably one of the longest out there, i love my i5 irons and my redwood anser, i wish their wedges would spin a bit more but other then that i'm very happy with the ping tour wedges.

Wow, tough question. I would have to go with Titleist only because of my Scotty Cameron putter. I cant live without it. Also, I have played Titleist woods and irons before and are not opposed to those. Taylor Made was a close second because of the driver and their partnership with Adidas. I wear ClimaCool shirts and Tour 360 shoes. Love em'

I'd have to go with titleist because all of their clubs are sweet. But to be honest I'd be happy with titleist, taylormade, cobra, or mizuno as long as i was sponsered by them.

It's a tough question b/c I would think most of you have clubs in your bags from different manufacturers...maybe 20% have all the same manufacturer...I used to like all Taylormade then Titleist and now have realized that truly a mixed set seems to work the best for me....
I would guess 50% of tour players play exclusively with clubs from their sponsors...what do you guys think??

    • If you’ve been playing over sixty years that means you’re not as young as you used to be, welcome to the club. Most people I play with are 70+ and we all seem to have issues. Couple of the guys have had cancer, heart issues and strokes but still doing the best they can. But not what they used to. Some are where they probably should just play nine holes because at about fifteen they are starting to struggle quite a bit. My scores are creeping up each year, don’t like it but it’s better than sitting in the recliner. Good luck.
