Would it be like hitting an iron or a wood? Ball Placement? And any other factors that I need to get a good shot off the fairway.

Like an iron. Pretty much the same ball placement as my 4 iron.

Set up for an iron, think of it as an iron, and then - don't try to kill it. Just let it flow - the clubhead and longer shaft will give you all the help you need - be aggressive, but not over aggressive.

I just hit ball :p

Though i tend to think of the hybrid as more of a fairway wood, just because of the sole of the club. So i tend to hit with shallower angle than a long iron.

I play it in the same spot as my 3 and 4 iron. The swing I do, and as I've heard from most instructors and seen, hits much more like and iron. Not a sweep, should take a small divot, just like a long iron.

Driver: 10.5* callaway Razr Hawk Tour - 350 yards(usually into the wind, it can be windy here. at least 400 with a little wind behind me)

Hybrids: 2 and 3 callaway Hybrid razr tour (312 and 287 respectively)

Irons: 3i-10i callaway forged standard length(278, 263, 250, 235, 221, 213, 201, 190)

Wedges: callaway jaws cc 52* 12 approach, 56* 16 sand, 60* 13 lob (0-185)

Odyssey Black tour #9 putter(5 ft, i'm always at least within 5 feet on my approach shot)

I wonder who on this forum is a PGA tour pro, disguised as a normal player..

    • Tom Kim stands over the ball 25-ish seconds before starting the swing. Ludvig Åberg barely gets into his stance before he is done. I don’t know what their total time per shot is, just find it fascinating.
    • In honor of Willie Mays in his recent passing, I'll make a one for one parallel argument that you can just replace Jack for Mays and Tiger for Trout. Maybe this will free up the mental blocks. Willie Mays is the greatest center fielder ever. Oh but what about Mike Trout many of you will say? He is bigger and better.  Athletes are bigger and stronger. Baseball is more competitive. There are more international players from South America and Japan. Mike Trout's  rate numbers are better than Willie Mays against tougher competition. All of that is true. And Willie Mays is the GOAT.  Willie Mays has a career WAR of 156 and Mike Trout has a WAR of 86.  Mike Trout would have nothing resembling Mays' career if he started in 1948 just like Tiger would have nothing resembling Jack's major record if he started in 1960.  It is a statistical impossibility for both Tiger and Trout because of injuries. They have been lapped. The end.

    • Birdied #14 at Green Knoll but already had it on my composite list. Missed a 6-footer on #10 that would have been new. I’m definitely making birdie at a higher rate this year than any other but it still feels like the composite list will be hard to complete. Still lots of golf ahead, though.
