I wish I had taken a picture of it because there was some software he had that recommended specs.  I'm assuming it was built into SAM but I could be wrong.

Software can't tell you what your eyes and brain are going to see as square.

Received my Edel after only two weeks. Used it today and love it! It is counter balanced and the head is lighter then I'm used to, but I didn't miss anything under 5 feet today, I'll practice the lag putts. I am used to a very heavy Scotty Newport 2, CB, with extra weight in head. After today, I am confident I'll be a much better putter in the future!

the fitting was donee in Roseville Ca, at golf galaxy, took about an hour before the store opened. I must have lined up fifty times at least before my fitter decided on a head, lines and offset.

We did several dozen rolls to also get the shaft flex and weight decided on.

It it really feels like MY PUTTER when I stand over it!

Be that as it may, I obviously had no issues aligning the putter.  That tells me that my eyes and brain squared up the finished product just fine, regardless what the software said.

At long last I received my custom Edel E-3 today!!!!

I immediately took it out of the box and started rolling putts on my practice green in the living room.  It's difficult to express how excited I am to finally have "the one" in the bag.  After about a half hour I told my wife that we needed to get out of the house and go hit the First Tee course with the kiddos since it was 70 and sunny outside.  Of course, this was purely selfish because I wanted to try out the Edel on real greens.

The First Tee locally has an awesome practice facility and actually has two par 4's and a 190-yard par 3 (from the tips).  Greens were a little fuzzy today but it gave me a pretty good gauge on working with this putter.

First hole I came up just a tad short with my approach shot (front fringe) and had my chip lip out.  Kind of took a weird spin out of the hole and ran out to around 8 feet away.  Stepped right up, set up and drained the putt.  Nice start.  Next hole I nestled my uphill birdie putt from around 25 feet away to a foot and tapped in.  Final hole had a 20 footer for birdie, misread the line and ran it past about a foot.  Again, tap in for par.

Take-away from a very limited exposure is that my distance control is silly good with this putter.  I threw down some balls on the greens to practice the same putts I had in regulation and every single one ended up right on top of the previous ball.  Alignment is so easy...I don't even have to give it any thought.  The putts I missed were just me mis-reading the break.  That will happen but I'm super excited about having this putter in the bag.  I sincerely feel like I'm finally found the putter I've been searching for for a long, long time.

Wow, that's beautiful.

Was there an up charge for getting it in black?

No, but I'd be careful. You're not fit for a black putter, so there's a chance you could aim it differently.

Oh, wow. didn't think the color would make that much of a difference.  I think the fitter only has the standard silver color materials.

    • You might want to try a can of Bar Keepers Friend. Yes, it is abrasive, so just wet a sponge and dab it on. It has oxalic acid (no bleach like "Comet" kitchen cleanser), and it works wonders on stainless steel and other metals. Try it on a small area first to see what happens.
    • Fair   My uneducated thought: the big miss is the penalty area. If you want to optimize score, missing into the bunker (likely 5) is better than missing right into the penalty (possible 6). With that, your strategy seems sound and if you hit a committed shot, you get a bunker 5% of the time, take your medicine and hopefully get a putt for par but accept bogey. You may find yourself in a penalty situation 2-3% of the time and accept the associated outcome. The vast majority of the time though you are giving yourself a good approach shot into the green.

It is not very intense (since i dont want to get sweaty in my work clothes), so just a touch above leisurely. 3 days a week I walk on the treadmill for 60 mins. I alternate the incline from 4 to 10 for a couple minutes, once every ten minutes. I lift my kettlebells nearly everyday. I have a couple complex routines. I find just 15 minutes and my heart rates is elevated
