Hey guys, I'm thinking of replacing the stock grip on my Cleveland classic brz (blade) with a superstroke slim grip. I feel like I miss a lot of putts due to pushing or pulling in my stroke, and I'm thinking that this grip will help. I'm worried I'll lose feel for distance though, and that the fat grip will mess up the balance of the club. I know others have made the transition to this grip and I'm wondering if you can guys can help relate your experiences with it, I don't want to sacrifice too much distance control. Thanks, Seb

do you feel that your distance control is good now? I have the supersroke slim also, I love it!

I have the same putter, a few different CC blades, and the SS Slim on all of them. Been using a Rossie XG with the Slim lately. Can't say the SS grip has improved my putting but I do like the feel better. Like any high capper my putting is up and down. More a symptom of my overall short game than anything.

i use the slim superstroke and it has improved my putting greatly. it reduces the pressure and keeps you more relaxed when holding the putter. helps seperate the feel of your other grips from your irons and woods. i will never use anything else for my scotty putter.

I've been working on it a lot and have it pretty consistent now, so I think it's pretty good.

Yeah I would go for it. I just recently switched my grip on my Scottsdale Anser from a standard PING man cord to a Super Stroke ultra slim and am loving it so far. It really adds feel, and for me it felt like it added weight to my putter which helps

Thanks for the responses guys!

I think I'll go to my local shop and have them drop a superstroke slim on it.

Hopefully he can get to it within 2-3 hours, otherwise I'll have to wait until monday to get it.

I held one in the store today and it felt really good in my hands, I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I just finally bought a superstroke slim lite. I'll try it out these next two weeks and report back

I went to the superstroke slim for awhile last year. I'm not at my golf bag right now but I think it is the one that has a reverse taper... thinner at top? If so be careful. I putt lefthand low and it felt great at first. But I quickly found the thickness of the grip to be too small. I started putting too much wrist/hands back into my shots. Grip felt too small. Grip is still on the putter but I went back to a tigershark paddle grip for my backup putter. 48 inch long putter is still my primary putter. The SuperStroke comes out about twice a month... lasts a day or two then goes back in the trunk of my car. Also the grip got dirty quickly and lost tackiness after a few cleanings. It doesn't cost much to give it a try but I might not start with my favorite putter. Kind of like that old girl friend you would love to have back...

So I have used the grip for one nine hole round and an hour on the practice green and I love it. I feel like my distance control is better than ever, as I consistently got the ball within a foot from putts from the other side of the green (my wedge play was a little off). I didn't miss a putt from inside of 10 feet today, and it helped my game considerably. I missed every single fairway and still posted a +6 through nine. I really like this grip.

go for it, i did and it feels great.

I felt about it the same way, i was missing so many 10 footers, i put my stroke on video and saw i had a slight wrist action

on the backswing. By putting a superstroke mid 3.0 on my putter i thought i might reduce that. I was so right with that. club head stays much more

on line, and i start to hole those putts.

I'm using the SS Slim 3.0 and found that my distance control actually improved with it compared to a standard-size putter grip.  Seems backwards that a fatter grip would improve feel, but it worked for me.

    • Day 24: did a stack session. Worked a bit on downswing feels during breaks.
    • Day 444 - 2025-12-18 Light day of hotel room work. GEARS Summit v2.0 today. Good day.
    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
